Play to the whistle. One of the first things you are told in football. Cant have players deciding when to stop a game. Most are cheats anyway.

People missing what went on. Leeds guy kicked the ball in a manner that suggested he was stopping play, most the players stopped, except the Leeds plum that ran on and scored. Villa should have been outraged, and Leeds made the correct call

JC is correct, most Leeds players stopped as if they were kicking it out. If they carried on and scored then that's that, but they never.

Has anyone managed to find out how Bamfords face is after being hit by what must have been a Tyson sidewinder? That cont should get a massive ban for his cheating, he is one of the biggest cheats in the game.

It was the villa player that FOULED the Leeds player, the whistle didn't blow, no Leeds player tried to slow down as if to kick it out really, it was just the Villa players signalling them to, fair goal, Villa player remonstrating very phsyically with the scorer should have been sent off.

The Leeds player that assisted the goal passed the ball to his teammate, he didn't attempt to kick it out so morally it wasn't wrong and he barely slowed down to do so, only a little bit as if he thought the ref was going to blow because the Villa players were all animated but regardless, again, the whistle didn't blow and it wasn't a head injury so play should have carried on anyway, dem the rules.

No way should Leeds have allowed an equaliser, you play to the whistle as said and the ref didn't blow, incredibly bizarre Jansen's own teammates were showing their annoyance at him when not only was it a fair goal but if anything it should have been an initial free kick to Leeds!

The commentator whoever he is, co Comm I think, doesn't seem to like Leeds at at all, even when they showed a slow mo replay of the tackle the villa player made where he ended up on his backside pretending to be hurt holding his calf, not head, he didn't say anything or correct himself, either because he knows he made a t1t of himself of he doesn't like Leeds.

Ok so imagine this........it's the final round of games, Leeds go into it a point ahead of Sheff Utd. 10 minutes to go and Sheff Utd we hear are 4-0 up............does anyone think Aston Villa would have been allowed the equalizer then?

i thought the whole episode was an embarrassment to game we once called football.

because all the players are cheats you pretty much have to play to the whistle because as the previous poster has put, the players will just lie down and claim injury if it suits

Leeds didn't have to allow the goal in my opinion

I hope Leeds beat them in the playoff final just for the fact Villa threw an almighty hissy fit in a game that had become totally pointless to them

Technical the score went to 1-0 because the drama over player who actually fouled the Leeds man.

Not the scale of it but was kind of a Keane in Haaland but not as dramatic and intentional.

But in reality Leeds allowed Villa to equalise.
