Is that you on the barrier with your half and half scarf Pete ? Could you imagine back then what would happen if someone produced one of them whoever you support those were the best of days
|
By:
Great memories mate, used to be as good at home as it was away.
Doesn’t seem right us walking into the shed at Chelsea these days with slightly less opposition than we had in the seventies |
By:
Hey Pete im glad you've taken the bull by the horns , the Stretford End in the good old days
|
By:
So when are we signing Sanchez and Reina then?
|
By:
By the way I’m having a boxing bet tonight dan
People running in all directions...... Rocky Fielding fighting in Germany in 40 mins time. I reckon Fielding has to knock Zeuge out cis he won’t get a judges decision. I’ve backed Zeuge on points at 1.84. Think he will see off the early barrage from Rocky and dictate after that. |
By:
Cheers anx, I’d have preferred somebody else to take the reins but what the hell. You’ll have to make sure you help see off the intruders
|
By:
Is this your nap of the Summer peter ?
|
By:
No worries mate , i will keep dog
|
By:
One Mr Butcher you've never walked in the Shed in the old days and two. How to kill a new thread with your boxing tips
|
By:
Lol don, we managed to sign Sanchez before the thread disappeared but the Reina guess luckily went the same way as hundreds of other guesses.
|
By:
On a serious note regards the Shed. It just shows how little modern day clubs care about traditions
|
By:
Nah not a nap bet anx but I think it’s a decent bet.
If it loses there is every chance Pandy will be on here telling you some rubbish about the time I convinced him to put all his winnings on some East European who was up against a useless English boxer called Carl Froch. Bloody hell, he’s never let me forget it. |
By:
Agree dan, it’s disgusting from Chelsea. No thought at all fior the fans.
|
By:
Was the name Lucien Bute ?
|
By:
Shhhhh anx, that name will send Pandy frothing at the mouth. Hopefully he’s busy somewhere in France with an anti Trump placard whilst watching the TDF.

LMFAO...a classic opening gambit with pics (Was right side myself)...followed with the infamous boxing tips .
Well done Pedro!..back to the bar for another pint of Diamond. |
By:
dolph
|
By:
Tick, it's time for you to let Pandy out of the van for his break.
Take his gloves off and let him give us his tip for the rest of TdF. He may want to come out again in a couple of months time to confirm if Jose is still on the desired path to success. As the captain said...believe |

as for the boxing, some things never change!

f ucking boxing.
I knew Rocky would be going fir the stoppage but I didn’t think he’d actually get it. I know a good few reds who’d have taken those punches and carried on drinking. |
By:
get the communist socialists anxious non caps lock thread back up , hate man united love the glazers
|
By:
Coming from Liverpool don’t you mean glaziers degsy?
|
By:
Evening Pete
Amazing, as soon as someone from down the wrong road wins something, they pop out of the woodwork. The German did look in trouble early on, but Rocky will want his re-match with Callum Smith soon. I remember when they fought before it was said to be a 50-50 fight, but Smith had the bigger firepower then. |
By:
Yes I think you are right mate. All scouse affair should be good viewing watching them smash each other up.
|
By:
Have you been betting on the TDF?
|
By:
Fielding is now part of Moore's camp, but Smith's family are all with Joe Gallagher - so yes a Derby, whichever way you look at it.
|
By:
Joe is a big red although he stopped Crolla from going to a couple of matches close to one of his recent fights.
|
By:
Not yet, but tomorrow's stage is the 1st biggie - Nibali and Dumoulin are big prices as they will both see an opportunity before the Mountains, could be some carnage on the cobbles.
|
By:
Didn't work, should have let Crolla go!
To be fair think Crolla has reached his peak, but if he's reading I'm happy if he proves me wrong! |
By:
Yes, the cobbles will scare a few. Think Froome broke his wrist when he slipped on the cobbles.
I reckon Sagan will still go close at around 3.5. He’s very good in these conditions. My two other bets will be Van Avermart at around 16 and Dagenkolb at 32 or bigger |
By:
I'm out - think the French will celebrate Bastille Day a day late with a 2-0 tomorrow.
Perisic will be linked with us again, he won't leave Inter, but maybe there's another big fish to sign for us yet.. I am in Bury, who I believe drew 0-0 with someone today at Giggle Lane, so please don't tell Warren from the Conservatory. |
By:
Think 3rd is the best you can hope for this season, over the years I've become good at spotting the writing on the wall and with Mourinho, it says in big fluorescent letters "sacked". Last season he was playing Pogba deeper and he suffered before eventually being dropped, you can get away with that for a game or two but trying to make it permanent is pointless. You surely cannot be persisting with Lukaku either, he is not good enough for any top club, he's too slow and leggy.
It's also Jose's 3rd season, don't think he's ever been at a club for longer than that. Think the hierarchy wont put up with his brand of football for much longer nor his pressers where he calls them out for not getting the players he wants. nor the constant rinsing of the younger players in public. I wouldn't be surprised if he was replaced at Xmas with Conte who got the best out of Pogba at Juve and is available he's also a more classy manager that is more befitting of United IMO. Btw that first pic posted is a good one, that's what football stadiums should be like, all seaters have ruined the atmospheres at football grounds. Borussia Dortmund and their yellow wall a great example of what it should be like. Then there's the derby's between Boca and River Plate and others down there - unreal, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhkRgJmmOhA Kind Regards |

Pedro... I'm sorry for your loss, but it's sort of fitting the thread kicks off with a losing boxing tip #TeamPando
StattoE 14 Jul 18 23:07 J I'm out - think the French will celebrate Bastille Day a day late with a 2-0 tomorrow. Perisic will be linked with us again, he won't leave Inter, but maybe there's another big fish to sign for us yet.. I am in Bury, who I believe drew 0-0 with someone today at Giggle Lane, so please don't tell Warren from the Conservatory. Really solid player. Was disappointed we didn't land him last summer. We apparently offered 40m but Inter stuck hard on their 48m valution, no wonder Jose sulked a wee bit & made a few comments in the media regarding failed transfer targets.. He's not world class by any means but even at 28 he would've been a quality addition considering he'd just made the most assists in Serie A the previous season & anyone who's watched the WC can't deny his workrate & quality. mes.. nice to see you posting on the thread... one of the forum good guys imo |
By:
And fwiw, slybet gave me a free £10 bet for one of my nags being placed in the first at Newmarket today. It's been plonked on Perisic to score from outside the box 2moro at a tasty 40/1 with them. The fella is a very good striker of the ball, unfortunately when it comes to free kicks, Modric & Rakatic seem to think otherwise.
|
By:
cheers dolph, am definitely not everyone's cup of Rosie Lea but aim to keep it interesting
With Lord Emery at the helm maybe we can get back to the good old days of Arsenal/United battles next couple of years, there's too much blue plastic floating around atm for my liking, north and south. |
By:
The Utd/Ars tear ups were without question the best of the PL era mes, particularly the 98/99 season where UTD managed to edge it.
Think your marketing dept aren't doing enough to dispell the image of your current lot tbh... |
By:
fell asleep missed the boxing , lucky for me i backed fielding small wager , hard cheese peter or so they say
