I'll be laying France to begin with, don't think they'll be a goal until the second half, probably past the hour mark before France eventually lead. Uruguay along with Brazil have the best defence in the World Cup and it's deserved, their Garra Charrua mentality has been impressive but they haven't faced any attack with the quality France have, Mbpape however will not be as effective as he was against Argentina, no chance he'll be allowed to make as many cutting runs as he did and Argentina who were due a hiding. Will be interesting to see Griezmann come up against his Atletico teammates Godin and Gimenez.
Most players on 1 yellow are French but they're wiped out tonight so no worries about picking up another one for suspension, don't know who the ref is yet.

No Cavani, no chance, surely. 1-0 might be a good play though. No Cavani would probably mean defence against attack for ninety minutes

This will be a real test for both teams. This side of the draw is cracking good. I backed both France and Uruguay at good odds but cannot be drawn for this match on picking a winner. I think it will be a great game to watch. France have not really been playing well and gelling. Uruguay are playing effectively as a team with one or two World Class players. France have some great players on paper. Don't know but I will enjoy! We might be going back in time for proper football.

He's no Cavani but Maxi Gomez is a very good player in his own right. 17 Primera Liga goals for Celta Vigo last season, placed him seventh in their standings

Cavani is not as great as his haircut. As long as The Biter plays Uruguay remain dangerous and Gomez will not be significantly less of a player than Cavani

Cavani would be a massive loss but Uruguay are a huge price, probably because of the C doubt though. I can`t believe they are 18.5 to win outright. I have taken that. Should be a great battle.

Usually happens against good opposition. Especially if he’s working too hard to cover Cavani not being there. Apart from that, Godin mom not a bad shout because the heat will be on and I expect him to rise to this occasion. |

The slate does get wiped clean after the Quarters... anyone picking up a 2nd yellow will miss the Semi's tho. Either team to win on pens is 4.5 on SB but if you dutch both to win on pens on the exchange you get 5.5. Looks a good shout to me
