Late last night Luke Edwards a journalist for the Telegraph that covers Newcastle United called him out on his ‘work’ on Twitter/X.

Edwards doubled down and claimed that Romano has no relationship with Newcastle United because unlike other clubs, they refuse to pay him to cover them. As a result it has been claimed by supporters that when he does cover Newcastle United, he typically does so in a negative manner. Fans of other clubs also have similar complaints about him.

Another journalist has also called him out for his practices, even going as far as making his article free to read so that people can be freely aware of his practices.

In this article, not only are his links to his practices called out, but it even goes as far a unveiling that Romano was the person responsible for spreading fake news of Christian Atsu being found alive following an earthquake in Turkey. This resulted in Atsu’s family travelling to local hospitals in order to try and reach him. In reality Atsu had not been found at all, nor was he confirmed to be alive. Atsu was later found to have denied and been buried beneath the rubble of his clubs training ground.

Following an overspend in relation to UEFA's Football Earnings threshold, the club has worked closely and constructively with the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) to swiftly resolve the matter.

Accordingly, the club has accepted the three-year settlement, which includes a €3m financial penalty, with a further €7m suspended pending future compliance.

In addition, UEFA has determined that the club will pay a further €3m due to breaching UEFA's 70% Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) target in calendar year 2025.

not been in Paddys, haven't been out for few weeks been away ( mallorca and royal ascot )- probably out on Sunday and back hyem to watch game. Eased completely on drinking anyway since  been poorly last year ( 10 1/2 months without a drink ) .
Agree re spending , are bargains out there it's just a question of scouting, plus how fit into system ratherthan buying andhope for best eg Woltemade to me was never thought through.
