"He will never admit it. But the day he will line up a team in which we find five Africans, not naturalised, I promise I will send him a cake".
Poor Yaya seems to have a bit of a thing about les gateaux. Didn't get one for his birthday and now this. |

Actually I want to be the one who breaks the Guardiola myth a bit
Sorry Yaya, I got there first, been calling out Mythiola for YEARS unfortunately nobody is interested in what is said on an internet forum.Barcelona, he did not invent it. He just had the intelligence to adapt what Cruyff had set up. Then, at Bayern and City, he tried to reproduce the same patterns but with this requirement: working with ‘his’ players and with almost unlimited means. It would not work at Crystal Palace or Watford. “For me Zidane is bigger because he has fewer requirements and shows great respect for all his players. Pep, he wants to be considered a genius. He loves it. But there is a lot of comedy behind all this, it’s a bit of anything. He creates a character. When I see him scratching his head in full match to show that he thinks thoroughly, it makes me laugh. It’s comedy.” few weeks ago I said Zidane was a better manager than Pep, but it was put to me that "those that know the game" know Pep is the better manager, Yaya knows the game, Kind Regards ![]() |

'I respect my coach but...'

Yeah, i'm gonna take the word of a grown man who cried his little eyes out because he felt the club hadn't wished him happy birthday.
No respect for 'Waaaah Waaaah' Toure after that. |

Anybody that doesn't regard Guardiola as likely the best coach on the planet right now doesn't have a clue. Zidane didn't get close to La Liga in two of the three seasons, and it could be argued the only reason they won it under him was because Luis Enrique had gone stale. Winning the Champions Leagues is a hell of an achievement, but if you want to scrutinize: first one on penalties, second against an average Juventus, and the third win was a joke

That article says reflects worse on Toure than Pep. The guy wins the league playing the best football but he's a fraud....well I'll take that fraud any day of the week over the non frauds left trailing in his wake.

Zidane won 3 European Cups in a row , pep and the oil rig have never even been in a final despite unlimited oil lottery

Jeez how long have those feelings festered under his bonnet?
Some think he may follow pelligrini to WHU. The club have a well documented er uneasy relationship with African players. So it's a lay for me. After those comments the only way he will come to the hammers is over the dwarf's (Sullivan's)dead body. |

Zidane may be 17 points but he deprived mersey port of the European Cup , for that he has our everlasting thanks

You'd have to be mentally ill to join a sh1te club like West Ham so it's a big back for me.

“At a time when huge sums are being spent in England for the purchase of football players, I officially declare that Yaya is ready to move as a free agent to any English club of the top six with a salary of one-pound-a-week. But for certain successes to make a bonus system.
“I believe that a player like Yaya would not reject Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool. Yaya is a winner. “And never before has a top footballer with leadership qualities rejected any club, especially when they don’t have to pay for it.” Yaya's agent Selyuk ![]() |

Generous of Yaya to offer Pep a cake if he picks 5 Africans...as it happens he has picked 4 in a Champions League game. Wonder why Yaya signed a contract last year if he was so disgruntled with Pep (££££££££££££££££££££££££££££). Hopefully Pep will sue him for defamation of character, shortly after he signs Mahrez his next African player

Before the Champions League formed in 92, teams in Europe were winning back to back European Cups on a regular basis, some of them 3 times in a row, after 92, none of the great European could manage it because it was too difficult, more games, higher quality opposition from 2nd/3rd and eventually 4th placed teams from the superior leagues rather than just pub champions from pub leagues, that was until Zidane and his Real Madrid team won 2 CL in row then 3. The AC Milan teams of 90's couldn't do it, the treble winning United team couldn't do it, the Galatico's couldn't do it and neither could Pep's Barcelona or any of Jose's Chelsea teams that spunked billions on players.
That's how hard it is to win successive Champions League titles, you are play the creme de la creme from the KO stages at least - whereas in La Liga, realistically Barcelona have 1 team to contend with 8 or 9 seasons out of 10, when Simeone leaves it will revert just to the same old duopoly it always was. Trying to beat off competition from 1 team in your domestic league compared to having to get through teams like Bayern, PSG and Juventus is a whole different ball game, the CL is far harder to win. I've no idea who people so readily give praise to Barca for trouncing their league when they buy players for £100 mil, £150 mil on a wim, in the CL they meet teams that do the same and they can't sustain that success - Zidane did. |

£135 mil for Dembele? 80 mil for Suarez?
Can you not see the point I'm making which your detracting from frivolously - they far outspend 90% of the competiton in La Liga, they can't do that in Europe. |
|
By:
You're suggesting Barcelona romp the league because they spend big, whereas Real Madrid don't?

Barcelona went out to Roma, not one of the big spending clubs

I always find it really odd how some people become so obsessed in proving that a manager, despite many trophies is rubbish.
Offering up Zidane as the greatest thing since sliced bread seems a little premature given his short limited career. |
|
By:
No I'm not, read my post properly, I said the opposite.
Trying to beat off competition from 1 team in your domestic league compared to having to get through teams like Bayern, PSG and Juventus is a whole different ball game They outspend teams in La Liga bar Madrid so they've realistically have 1 challenger more often than not. CL is more difficult because the standard is far higher in general and teams have more money to spend than in La Liga which is why Zidane has proven to be a better manager than Pep. |
|
By:
But keep lavishing praise on Mythiola because he choose your club to manager - nothing to do with history or prestige of course or the lovely sights of Manchester that De Gea's wife described as a back of a fridge - but the colour of the Arabs money

He is a good manager obviously in the way he coaches his players to play football but he is vastly overrated based upon the fact he has had the easiest of rides in football management, walking into a Barca team that had the calibre of players they did, the year before they had regressed under Rijkaard but he already lost his way and anyone coming into that job with the likes of Messi, Henry, Xavi, Iniesta and Eto'o would have found it more difficult to fail than succeed once they got rid of the likes of Ronaldinho who was a shadow of his former self. Then he takes over the treble winning European Champions and takes them backwards, not 1 CL final in 3 years let alone a win, in the Bundesliga he Heynecks in his last season his team had 98 goals, 91 points and +80 GD, in Pep's 3 season he never once bettered that, then he takes over the richest in the world, buys defenders for 50 million a pop and wins the title and everyone is supposed to impressed?
![]() Can't stand Mourninho but I have more respect for him as a manager based on what he did in his early days, winning the CL with teams that were no where near favourites at the time, Inter and Porto, incidentally he lost his way to. Benetiz is another I have more respect for, won La Liga with a team not called Madrid or Barca, won the CL with Liverpool when again he made the sum much greater than it's parts and reached another final, would Pep go down a division mid career and bring a team back up like he did? doubt it. If takes over Roma or a Dortmund or Valencia or Marseille and he wins the league, then that is impressive, the successes of a chequebook manager, not so much. |
