I don't think ramos did it intentionally .It was accident anyone who says different is mad.
By:
That's football culture unfortunately. If referees were stronger and more importantly if FIFA weren't corrupt you'd iron out cheating
By:
I don't particularly blame Ramos for doing what he did. I don't think it was intentional just like I don't think it's intentional when a drunk driver knocks over and kills a pedestrian. If anything the deliberate shoulder/elbow into Karius's face was worse. Ramos is one of those players who takes as many liberties as he can get away with.

dont think he should go to egypt on his hols
By:
I didn't see to much wrong with it ! Certainly no intention to dislocate Salhah's shoulder. Freak accident imo
By:
dan where you somehow in ramos' brain at the time?
By:
A sprain they say it is , and to think the mickeys have got a petition going to send Ramos to the gallows ffs

Then he comes out and wishes him a recovery! Zero decency, sadly like a lot of Spanish footballers

Who would you rather see captain whatever side you support, Ramos or Jordan Henderson

When Luiz Suaraz had balance problems in the penalty area I can't remember Liverpool fans were too upset with him.

A favourite ploy of Suarez was to chase a defender as they went to the byline and accidentally stand on their achilles.

In my defence I grew up watching Ron "Chopper" Harris you snowflakes

.....if the goalkeeper was injured..then thats what subs are for.
By:
people saying do what it takes to win.
how do they feel about drug takers in sport like gatlin?? |
By:
People say Saleh's injury was an accident however what was not an accident was that Ramos very cleverley and deliberately barged into Saleh and engaged an arm lock on him then deliberately dragged him to the ground ensuring Saleh landed awkwardly and then bingo,Saleh unfortunatley sustains an injury putting him out of the game and possibly world cup but Ramos's actions were certainly no accident.
By:
Agree wasn't an accident knew what he was doing. No guarantee Salah would be injured though, but the intent was 100% to cause harm. Don't see how how people doubt this given his track record

Take it to the European Court of human rights...before brexit kicks in, you whining bleaters...
While you're at it why don't you rollback stevie gee's dive back in 05.... Talk about sore losers |

Senor Ramos is a throwback to when footballers were working class (or at least less rich and more relatable).
Nowadays most of the top players are cosseted, pampered millionaires. Attitudes and values have changed. I don't like his public persona or his tactics but I can relate to his will to win. What I found more pathetic were the self-indulgent, self pitying tears of a man who went off with a shoulder injury. Man up you crybaby. Save it till you get behind closed doors. |

Keane was a very influential player, done all the teams dirty work. Excellent player but Zidane was the worlds number 1 player then, and was absolutely brilliant. There’s only one winner here.

Ramos is a great defender but watching as a neutral it galled me to hear the muppets on BT sports production spouting that it was an accident, how could they not see especially with slow motion repeats that Ramos initiated contact with Saleh, gripped him in an arm lock then dragged him to the ground which was not by accident,i thought they were clued up on the finer points of the game which also includes the dark arts when it comes to defending and gaining an advantage,i actually admire Ramos as a defender and wished he was in my team.
By:
I think Ramos is a bit of an old school type of defender who defintley has a dark side to his game with i think 27 career sending off to show for his efforts, however he can play a bit to , can also score vital goals and leads in way that others follow , most successful teams have players like this and are appreciated by fans and players alike

Salah can expect a lot more of that next season now that the football world has seen him throw in the towel with a sore shoulder

By:
sore shoulder ??? thats some diagnosis from 1500 miles away without speaking to the patient. !!

So basically, what you're saying is, it's all down to how hard you are. " Out of my way pretty boy ". It's thuggery, the promotion of thuggery, and that's a real shame imo. Actually it was an admission by Ramos that, in football terms, it's HE who doesn't measure but he's hard, simply brushes the good guy aside, and y'know what? I bet he's feeling pretty good about himself right now.
The game is reduced the mud and blood. |
By:
Yep I can see him telling this tale for years to come.
"Liverpool's best player was a curly haired lad called Salah, salad something like that.. He had to be stopped. It had to be done. That's where your grandpa stepped in....." |
By:
Right own up, how many of you lot have signed the petition calling for Sergio Ramos to be slapped on the wrist?
By:
And took arguably one of the best players on the field out of the game.
Winning is the be all and end all. Sickening. |
By:
How about nomination for mayor and a statue in his honour in whatever town he grew up in?
