mesi guess then its a tieunless they just give it to messi
Was the sponsors choice when the gave him the Golden Ball in Brazil for an underwhelming performance so wouldn't be surprised.

Plus the teams in Spain's group are much more defensive. Iran had the best defensive record in Asia, Morocco had the best defensive record in Africa and Portugal and Spain conceded 4 and 3 respectively in qfying

Fwiw Peru lost 2-0 away in Bolivia and Chile drew 0-0 at home to Bolivia. Chile made an official complaint about the eligibilty of one of the Bolivian players which was upheld and both Peru and Chile were awarded 3-0 wins. It in effect cost Chile a place in the WC final at the expense of Peru, as Chile and Peru finished level on points.

chile didnt deserve it anyway

mentioned Cavani in a similar thread a few weeks ago, was 33/1 at the time, scored twice as many goals as Suarez in qualifying and only played 2 more games, scored 35 goals for PSG this season, Suarez 26.
i couldnt trust cavani on his own but with suarez along side he should have loads of chances tee'd up for him

Anyone that actually watches Spain would not be backing Costa, he is not the focal point and Spain do not play a style that suits him.
i think its because ive actually watched spain that i think costa will score a few.
a few on here still think they will have alonso, iniesta, xavi and biscuits tapping it around the middle. isco, asensio, niguez and koke are not those types of players, spain have changed. they are still very good though.
