Last day in Serie B today, and this is the most notable game of interest.

Cremonese are already mathematically safe, while Cesena need a point to be sure of staying up.

In the last five years, there have been several last day fixtures in Serie B where the draw has been odds on before kick off:

Cesena - Verona    0:0    10.53      1.65      2.49    18.05.2017
Spezia - Ascoli    0:0    2.68      1.59      11.50    20.05.2016
Carpi - Catania    0:0    3.79      1.73      3.81    22.05.2015
Trapani - Pro Vercelli    2:1      2.86      1.95    4.27    22.05.2015
Lanciano - Cittadella    0:0    2.68      1.83      6.00    30.05.2014
Palermo - Crotone    0:0    3.26      1.45      8.75    30.05.2014
Novara - Lanciano    1:1    4.35      1.56      4.07    18.05.2013
Verona - Empoli    0:0    3.77      1.29      11.69    18.05.2013

In some of the above games, the draw has suited both sides, while in others only one team has had a real vested interest; in the latter cases, it seems to be that the team with little for which to play does not win because it would be considered ungentlemanly to do so. The only exception is Trapani v Pro Vercelli in 2015 where the circumstances were similar to tonight's match, Pro Vercelli needing a point to stay up and Trapani already safe - in the end, only other results ensured Pro Vercelli's safety. Will tonight's match have a similar outcome or will Cremonese do the 'done thing' and accept the draw? I've tried to do as much research into the match as possible and the most interesting comments are from Cremonese's fans forum:

CASTORI IS A WHAT I DO NOT DIGISH .... MAYBE send it to C but unfortunately everything is already written

I also believe that in the end, unfortunately the draw will come out that will give him the ass, even if these with over 50,000,000 euros of debts would not even have to register.

Google Translate throws up some interesting results but you get the general idea.

Finally, it's worth noting that Cesena were involved in one of these matches exactly a year ago on the last day of Serie B when Verona came to town needing a point to be assured of automatic promotion. Cesena were safe in mid-table, but the crucial context was that Verona had played out a goalless draw with them in 2009 which guaranteed Cesena's promotion to Serie B - the favour was duly returned last year with a 0-0 draw ensuring Verona's place in Serie A. One year on, it looks like Cesena will be the beneficiaries this time around.

Interesting post OP, and possibly a good angle for the draw.

For those looking for some value, I'd suggest checking the spread firms prices on draws here too, especially 0-0 and 1-1 with Sporting Index.

Venezia v Pescara, draw around evens as well. Pescara need a draw to be safe but Venezia can get up into the next round of the play-offs with a win if Palermo only draw as they have a better head to head. They can't catch Parma as they have a worse head to head. They should be looking for the win.
