Somebody says its a red card and all of a sudden its gospel. Fact is Carroll went up for a high ball and his elbow hit the watford player. TV replays did not show Carroll deliberately looking for his opponent. You see these type of incidents in every game. Rarely do you see a red card for them these days, its probably 50/50 a yellow. Anyone who says any incident 'should have been a red card' is talking hyperbole. As I understand it every rule is prefaced with the words 'if in the opinion of the referee..' The man in black makes judgement calls. To use the word 'should' is wrong sorry. Try 'could' instead...

It's a red card , and Carol knows exactly what he is doing . They all do , it's not a natural way to jump to raise your arms in that way and is only done with the reckless disregard for other players safety. Should mean a red card and a long automatic ban.
