Hammers have a chance, just because the players will try harder and he will try and organise their disorganised defence. Watford are a good side to watch, especially away from home, however their at home today, so in all probability West Ham will get something today probably a draw. 1-1

Well West Ham, have been truly awful and if it wasn't for the last 5 minutes of the half you would say that West Ham must be close to the bottom of the Championship. If Watford could pass the ball well they would have been 3 up by now.

Wouldn't surprise me if outside this Marco Silva potentially leaving Watford to take the Everton job if Moyes is the next manager to go.

If you look at their fixtures, Leicester Friday is basically must win, otherwise feels like they will be rock bottom by the end of the year. If they won't win Friday even potential that they won't win a game this year.

Not convinced West Ham will win more than 1 of those. January much kinder fixtures but panic button could easily be hit for January window if they're rock bottom by then.

that is a frightening fixture list. been cannon fodder for the best teams over the last year or so. could easily only pick up 5 or 6 from that lot

Depends whether you're a proper West Ham supporter or not.

To me they looked worse than any other game this season even  against Brighton they had a decent 20 min spell, against Watford other than a couple of minutes on a couple of ocassions they looked completely clueless, whatever Moyes did it didn't work one iota.

Watford are a better team than people give them credit for and we could hardly expect Moyes to transform the team in a matter of days. He has a very difficult time ahead but I believe he can get the team to avoid relegation assuming some money is available in the January transfer window.

Tend to agree with Mafe, 5-6 is about how many I can see them getting too. Friday is just a huge game for momentum and generally attitude around the club, a loss and you can easily see it spiral downwards massively, as it will only get more toxic with the fans.

Can't really see Moyes being in place for next season regardless unless he gets them to something like top half. Problem is what is success (I already asked this in another thread when he got appointed), because I don't see say finishing 15th as success at West Ham, they should be doing better than that. He will have to do exceedingly well to get the fans on side otherwise he will surely just be hounded like Allardyce was.

"The hounding of Allardyce" began from day 1 and was a disgrace and the people involved have much to answer for. I have seen all the managers back to the days of Ted Fenton and Sam was one of the better ones but unfortunately others thought differently and now we are in this mess thanks to them. Bilic had a much larger budget for players and enjoyed the luxury of Payet but was simply not good enough and a step backwards.

West Ham should not be next nor near relegated in this league of filth . Apart from the top half dozen , the rest of them vary from ordinary to shameful. But if they are going to be relegated , well they may just have got the man for the job. In an era where player power is massive , Moyes would have the respect as a turd you couldn’t flush down the khazi.

Moyes last 4 teams have all been dreadful before he arrived. nobody would even think of buying any of the West Ham players to play for them even in league two if they are relegated. wtf bought these duds in the first place.cheers.

Upton Park, small and compact, crowd very close, giving encouragement/verbals to players.

Olympic ground, big stadium, crowd quite a way from the pitch, atmosphere gets lost.

Upton Park was far more intimidating before the 1990s when they demolished the old Chicken Run and modernised the North and South Banks. This new Stadium is just an excuse and held no fears for Brighton the other week and the team and fans should just get on with it and stop this continual moaning and groaning.

The moaning of players and fans will look like nothing once Moyes gets into full flow with his excuse mongering

The Utd team Moyes took over won the title by 11 points, not sure how that classes as dreadful.

The West Ham players aren't as bad as they are showing for sure.

Even the Sunderland team should have been on a high, they ended the previous season in very strong form, personnel wasn't great, but shows difference between a good manager like Allardyce and Moyes.

Isn't that section by far the majority though. My impression is the overwhelming majority of West Ham fans are against the board/Moyes, some combination of the two, and that's only going to get worse unless wins come soon.

I'm not even fully convinced Moyes will get until the January transfer window, but his record in the market in recent times is awful anyway.

Those fans who are hounding Moyes are not in the majority it's just the fact that those are the ones that shout the loudest. However, I would agree that a majority of fans are against the board but that seems to be the case at many clubs.

West Ham fans tend to be deluded fantasists living in the Bobby Moore era, they were even whining when they were top ten under Allardyce .. they aren't as big a club as the likes of spurs/Arsenal and never will be.
