I went for 0 points and a 0 goal difference for both Celtic and the No Surrenderers this year ; looks like I have underestimated Celtic but still confident on the No Surrenderers outcome.

Two top teams and two pub teams, with a shameful goal difference of -13, they have actually qualified for the Europa rubbish. It hardly qualifies as some sort of achievement, and it’s not as if they are going to have a say in the Europa league either.
The authorities should explore the idea of a Mickey Mouse champions league where the teams from Ireland , Scotland, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland, Malta etc, have their own competition, with the winner getting a replica trophy and a weekend in Butlins. |

So by your reckoning all other Country's bar the top 4 should not go to the World Cup as 'it's not as if they're gonna have a say in it'. Hilarious. I suppose though it's ok for English teams to be in the Europa league and celebrate when they do well. Everton have done quite well haven't they

MJK, it has nothing to do with the World Cup, that’s a totally different tournament where countries have to pre qualify , and anyone who gets there, has earned the right to take part. Where I would say the champions league is making an error , is that they are recognizing Scotland as a country which deserves to have their champions put forward . It’s a nonsense league , that doesn’t warrant such an accolade.
As everyone knows Celtic would be lucky to hold their own in the League Of Ireland , and yet they are unbeaten in something like 1000 games , and have won the league there every year since our lord was in short pants. They have no business in the champions league, as all that happens is that a few top teams come and muller them year in year out, and they aren’t even trying properly against them . Imagine if they did try, every match would be double figures. |
