Gib you done well ,I know they are hollow words,but when a player is sent off it changes the game and its out of your control,as I say hollow words but you really were terrific in your selections and when you sit down and have a cup of tea ,the mind settles and you will regroup ,you can start again after all its still week one(and you done 9 weeks work in that week).you have the skill and knowledge to do it,remember if you get it up once a year you collect 15 grand(18 winners).so the loss of the #10 was good value.
You will think about it and say to yourself "a little bit more luck and I could have done it"Keep believing because you are much much better than the average punter and never give up because if you do that's the time and the place the tide will turn. Have another go when you are refreshed,who knows the next one may be the one. Its only another Gambler that understands how gambler feels when a bet goes wrong. Remember you can get right next time.and I know its not much consolation but you lit of the forum ,for if you had got the 18 everyone would be trying it next week.And remember tomorrow is another day.go get them tomorrow.  |

I think you could win on the system(well, it has the makings of a system) if you divide the first 100 into 10x10(lets call them probes) and then send the 10 probes out in rotation.But the secret would be to make a deal with yourself that you bank the last probe standing. my reason for making one selection per week is because if you get a group of 1/2's going on the same day there is always one that will let you down,by selecting only one per week you have an excellent chance of avoiding the bullet(upset) that will shoot you down. A good example of this is when bootmakers group five or six odds on together there is always one that lets you down.by selecting one at random you have a good chance of avoiding the trap. if you are doing 10 or 20 probes in rotation you will lose one or two no doubt but the ones that get through the net grow up to be a lot bigger in value that the original amount staked.(for example if you start with 100 bank and use 10x10 probes ) that's my logic on it,and I have succeeded many times for a few grand moving from bookie to bookie.it can be done but like all bets you need lady luck in your favour.Thats my opinion based on past experience. |

Brass , thanks for that , small stakes it was a bit of fun ..lets see how far we can go , wasn't as if that was the only thing I was doing all week ,..I did have winning bets , what is annoying I coundnt find any sat 3pm kick offs I really fancied , so I should of left it alone , Rangers was best option I thought , mind you if unbeatable mo Farrah can get beat , everything is possible , look at Burnley today .....we all have our own systems , mind is never to stake more than 10% of my bank ....so if I get a few losers , my stakes decrease , and likewise increase when winning , ....never banked any off this run as stakes weren't big enough , annoyingly was very close to , ..and I would of starting banking ....its the old addage of hindsight we are all so good at

It's a give enough monkeys typewriters etc. I will have to concede that if you're lucky it can be done. As can winning the lottery. Probes, days, groups going down on the same day, etc. If anyone actually believes what you say then I fear for them. It's a lazy mans idea. Smacks of I can't find a proper way to bet so will come up with a fantasy idea and if it does by some fluke win I'm a genius and if it doesn't it was bad luck. |

Charlie , I admit its a long shot ....but if you don't do long shorts , then you are going to get big pay day , ....its quite easy to pick winners , short accs can raise abit sometimes , I do now and again 8-10 fold accs , mostly one or two always let you down , but a few times a season , you get a big hit .....which is always nice of course .....I don't think of it as a lazy mans way to gamble as ..I think its good to have many angles as poss .....I do the lotto , I don't exspect to win ....but someone has to win it .....if your not in it you aint going to win it

Frankie seven, did you know that the other jockey's had champagne in the jockey's room when Frankie walked back in after riding the seventh winner.but the funny think is that they had number 7 engraved on the bottles.(so the story is suppose to go,how true it is I don't know)but someone knew about 7 when they placed the order for the bottles of champagne.
