Shocking performance,France with 10 men should have easily scored 4 in the 2nd half alone yet they only managed one is a big let off for Southgate,if we make the world cup then we are only making the numbers up.

You have to laugh at man u love in with pogba.

English players make mistakes because they are not good enough and are under pressure from the superior opponents.

I'm waiting for a goalkeeper who is brave enough to stand still and save a penalty hit down the middle.

Worth 74m according to that recent study. Was that study funded by Daniel Levy? Grin

Realistically what do you expect. I don't think a single England player would get in the France team at their full strength.

How are these clown pundits saying the ref got it right in the end,the penalty was not a deliberate foul by the french player therefore under the new rules as it was a penalty it should never have been a red, they changed the rules to avoid double jeopardy UNLESS it is a deliberate act to foul someone in the penalty box then that would merit a red as well

Friendly scores today:

Australia 0-4 Brazil
Cameroon 0-4 Colombia
France 3-2 England
Romania 3-2 Chile
Singapore 0-6 Argentina

Reckon you could have got good odds for an accumulator on overs there.

Kane would get in the French squad. Not sure any other players from England would get into a France XI, maybe Phil Jones or Gary Cahill. If I was to have a combined XI of best France and England players it would be somewhere along the lines of: Lloris, Umtiti, Varane, one of Phil Jones/Lucas Digne/Gary Cahill, Pogba, Matuidi, Kante, Griezmann, Dembele, Mbappe, Kane. Thinking about it now, England did well to lose by a goal tonight, on paper the French team much stronger.

Look how good France are at full strength assuming Deschamps works out:

------------Lloris---------------
Sidibe - Varane - Umtiti/Koscielny - Mendy
-------- Kante - Pogba ----------------
Dembele ---------------------- Lemar/Payet
----------- Griezmann ------------------
----------- Mbappe ---------------------

Do England have anyone good enough to get in that team, you could argue maybe full backs, and that's about it. That team can be great for years too given how young most of them are.

Would you really take Kane over Mbappe though.

Sissoko is just an example of Deschamps being a mug, clearly he shouldn't be in the team.

How many games has Southgate been in charge now? i can see no change, no apparent plan, no definite formation, no idea of his best eleven, there is absolutely nothing to be positive about.
