has this ever happened before?

Have Betfair just cancelled all of those bets on France at odds-on when the market was reopened just after that "goal"?
By:
That's a first. That's not the right thing to do as I've lost money before in such events and never had my money back.
By:
Should work as a challenge system, 3 challengers with manager throwing a flag on the pitch or something.
By:
They've not cancelled bets on Correct Score - some lays on 0-0, 0-1, 0-2 at 1000.
0-0 has been matched at 1000 and now 3.1 ![]() |
By:
so are they only goign to be checking on goals or is this thing running for 90 minutes?
what if a goals given as offside but the players actually on? |
By:
how can they randomly cancel bets? they're not meant to be doing that surely...
By:
By:
This is a total first and clearly not stated anywhere in their rules. It's a clear move by them I'd guess as they seed the markets and it's cost them. When it's cost me I've not had my money back. It's outrageous and wrong.
By:
they can canel bets after set times, ive seen it myself on the US horse racing with late suspends.
bets before the off stay in and the late ones vannish a few minutes after the mistake. |
By:
how is that allowed? what if I had a bet on 0-0 at 1000 which has now been cancelled? I'd be fuming

You are correct Angela, well spotted.
Definitely an improvised approach by BF - not terribly impressive. |

on the US horse racing ive backed a winner before the race at 6.0, the race goes off and ends before the market has even suspended, with the winner still available at 4.0-5.0 after people like me try and nick money.
within minutes the later bets are refunded with the others still live, they must have a facility to cancel all bets after a set time after a mistake. |
By:
yeah they do clacher, to rectify mistakes with late suspends. but this is different surely?
By:
I hope this system never sees the light of day in an official capacity. It will ruin football.
By:
agreed ... me too
By:
This is totally different and I've lost money on these user mistakes in the past and not been entitled to a refund, which is fair enough. So why now, have they choosen to do something which is not stated in the rules. And why the other day did they not rectify their huge mistake where a Half Time market wasn't put in play and huge money was snipered in the Juventus Champions League match. Could it be because here they lost money and in the Juventus half time market they didn't lose money.

0-1 Spain, David Silva

SHOULD BE 1-1
By:
so basically if the original decision is overturned, by the third official, in say a cricket win market, subsequent bets placed stand, but not in football
By:
Did I just hear this dip shyte commentator describe winning the world cup as "always a tricky thing to do"?
By:
What happened in the market there is very serious. So many times market is suspended, a goal is added to their scoreline, money is matched at a wrong price, and then the goal is disallowed and the money matched remains. On what bases are they now going to void it? As punters we should be made aware as it reeks potentially of them voiding it on a whim based on whose money has been matched.

By:
As far as I am concerned, it's not in their rules and there are 0 grounds for the bets to be voided.

omg own goal by Portugal with 10 seconds to go. WTF

FFS ANOTHER OFFSIDE!!

given. 0-2

thats my point wisewords, by default it should work like all other sports until they state otherwise

STUPID

What they have done seems fair enough to me. Maybe in future they won't un suspend until they kick off again from center spot.

1 more goal would be lovely here
