what you should ask yourself is would a penalty be given if the attacker doesnt go down?
no ask any striker and they will tell you 9/10 you can stay on your feet so what should they do, stay on their feet or try to win a penalty for the club that pays them millions? doh, they do what every other player trying to win a game of football would do, give the ref a decision to make so looking at the suarez penalty was there contact from the defender? yes did the player go down? yes its now up to the referee whether its a penalty, he gave it, he didnt give the more obvious one on messi earlier (for which real madrid man SM said was a pen) if he doesnt give it some people think its automatically a yellow card, wrong, its a yellow card only if there is no contact coming from the defender |

PSG were weak
The ref was weak Suarez and Neymar are having a private battle as to who is the biggest cheat in the game. An all round total clusterfluck if you ask me. If thats your idea of great sport then may i direct you to WWE RAW from Detroit next week? |

It is being reported the Ref is being demoted and won't officiate at any more CL games.

The message from the Suarez/Barca supporters seems to be, you have to out-cheat your opponents.

Mascherano taking Di Maria down was the dodgiest decision on the night. That was clear as day and also a red card.

So UEFA's response is to tell the ref, a german-turk going by the name of deniz aytekin, 'sorry pal you are not up to the job'.
So he plays the game, lets barca win. He gets the tin tack Imagine the holy sh!t storm had he given suarez a second yellow, as i think most of us here would have wanted to see? I guess he would have never worked again.. |
