Time for an honest appraisal of MUFC
I have read that Jose is constantly in the ear of the agent of Neymar trying to get him to the north west
It is widely thought that the atletico team will be broken up this summer and Griezman is supposed to be the big move of the nxt window.
Were Man utd to start next season with a front 3 of Zlatan and Neymar, Griz then fair to say we would all be quaking in our boots.
For now however,
the reliance on the big swede, 35 and counting is most troubling.
Fact is the Man U forward line pales when compared to what city and chelsea have to offer, let alone with those of madrid and barca.
The problem is that the riches which ought to be employed putting Man U head and shoulders above the EPL opposition are being used to service the Glazers debt.
Utd are miles behind City and Chelsea in terms of ambition and achievement at the moment.
They are in the chasing pack with spurs and lfc.
The fans are relying on the cunning of Jose to get them to compete but how long will that last?
Ed woodward looks out of his depth. He is in among the big boys now. Up against Sheikh Mansoor and Roman. These guys run countries, provinces and proper businesses worth billions. Football is like a game of tiddlywinks to them.
Fact is, to get Neymar and Griz is probably going to cost near 300m, if you include wages.
Are the Glazers going to sanction that?
For that is what they need..

Everyone should be worried. THEY WILL SPEND £100M plus to add 3 or 4 players for sure.

Rooney's wage bill be no more too. POGBA will prob flourish more when there are quicker strikers ahead of him.

Comedy stuff.

United comfortably broke the transfer record a few months ago and are chasing Neymar & Griezman so the debt doesn't look to be holding back the club does it?

As for Woodward looking out of his depth. I read somewhere United have hundreds people working in their sponsorship department bringing in the money to make the club the richest in the world. Woodward did that. While City, Real & barca all have to bend over for the Arab $.

we no longer have a manager who can get the result we need .on a yearly basis ..
this is another poor season almost behind us as points make  .......prizes  .......dry up ..
Mostly half know the end is upon them and be heading out the Door .. as not nearly Good Enough for the RED SHIRTS .
the latarps  makes a lot of  sense  ..AND   what I think is the position .. after 4 seasons ..
Loads money  diminishing  . and MR ED  has nothing like the back  up of the aforementioned   ...other rather ...LARGE   .. INVESTORS ..  While the cleanup is well down the road .. its another 5 years still to  go to near being a top side again ..
WE ARE STILL BILLED AS BIGGEST CLUB IN WORLD .. and fans all over the planet that want .. at least   CHAMPIONS LEAGUE .  Football ...not the display from Saturday .. poor showing .. One of the  worst for many a long time ..

am i the only person in the world who thinks Ibrahimovic is the problem, his lack of pace and movement stifles the fast attacking football that United were renowed for. Everyone has been jumping on the bandwagon because of the goals he has scored but i actually think he is holding them back. just my opinion.

I am sure Maureen is aware of this. He's just not gonna come out and say it. During the 6 game ban you will prob see more pace upfront and Pogba play better with more space.

The space will defo help when defences are stretched for other up top, not that he should it with his movement, youthful legs and some pace.

Amazing how much interest United create especially from fans of Tottingham 1961 one trophy in the last 15 years I think , and Mersey Port 27 years of failure and 1 trophy in the last 10 years , its true we are not the team we were under Fergus but we have spent 400 million and wasted a lot of it , truly laughable how anybody can call United a chav club that's the last thing we are , the best supported club in England for over 50 years now win or lose.

You do wonder what would happen if Utd weren't in the CL next season, as there seems to be no real talk of Mourinho under serious pressure, yet recent history suggests he would get sacked if this happens, yet no-one really seems to talk in these terms.

The Europa League is massive for Man Utd, given the teams left, Man Utd should really expect to win it, and if they do all of a sudden the season can be spun into a positive season.

I have mentioned this in other places. Utd are reliant on Ibrahimovic for goals, but part of the reason is his style makes you reliant on him for goals.

I'm not sure he's the best striker for the overall formation, but if you are going to have him, you need runners off him. Utd do sometimes have this, at others they don't though. Tends to be more of an issue when you don't have 2 of Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rashford on the pitch.

As a neutral I can't see Mourinho being sacked even if they finish outside the top 4 and don't win the Europa League. If the same thing happens the following season THEN I think he's in trouble.

There is precedent though, and Mourinho has spent a truck load really. Tbh it's a shambles if Utd don't get in the CL some way with the squad they have, and Mourinho is a lot to blame, albeit the politics at the club with the likes of Rooney are tough to handle. There has been a lot of poor tactical decisions in the season, especially in the first half, but even recently.

Though tbh I find it amazing on like Man Utd moved to the top of the money league this year, and commercially are stronger than ever even though really they've been irrelevant on the pitch for 3 years now. You wouldn't think that is sustainable, but Utd have shown they are willing to spend big to get back (whoever talked about a lack of ambition is talking absolute rubbish).

Utd have thrown away so many points this season. Surely no team has thrown away more team has thrown away more than them. They have drawn 7 games they thoroughly dominated the games in, but didn't because they didn't score as many goals as their advantage was, might get away with this if it was 1 or 2, but 7 ffs. 6 of these were at home too.

yep drawn games they should have won but if ibrahaimovic doesn't score no one does

on the other hand must have had by far the most dubious decisions of the top 6 in their favour. saturday for a kick off. 2 certain red cards rojo has got away with and 4 or 5 offside goals in the last few months

Mo has done brilliantly this season to win one cup. This is probably as good as it gets this season.Next season and after a transfer spend of at least £150m. is the time to judge his performance.
