Only looking for non sevconian fans response as they seem to be the beneficiary of all the honest mistakes


Here are just a few examples--anyone else seeing a pattern?????


The Scottish FA's head of refereeing, Hugh Dallas, took the unusual step of effectively issuing an apology to Celtic on Thomson's behalf. "Craig and I have had our post match debrief," Dallas explained. "Whilst I would compliment Craig for his overall handling of the encounter, he is disappointed at his error of judgment when he decided against awarding a penalty to the visiting team in the 12th minute.


Man in the middle: Craig Thomson was reluctant to produce yellow cards early on, but he produced a poor decision in extra-time that led to Rangers' second goal.


However, many Celtic supporters feel hard done by after another semi-final defeat at Hampden and referee Craig Thomson was in the firing line on Twitter after fans believed County’s second goal shouldn’t have counted due to a foul on goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Gordon was booked for protesting after Paul Quinn put the Staggies in the lead only minutes after the restart and fans were furious with the man in the middle’s performance.

Charlie Richmond has admitted that Harry Forrester should have been red carded against Dundee but refused to say that the referee bottled out of the big decision.
Craig Thomson’s display has been slaughtered by fans of most Scottish clubs as they watched the Sevco winger commit three fouls after being yellow carded early in the second half.
Even Mark Warburton admitted that another referee could have issued a red card but former referee Richmond still attempted to excuse the FIFA rated ref.
“Craig is not the kind of man to bottle it. He’s officiated in high-profile games in Scotland and in Europe. He can handle the heat of a Rangers game.
“He’s been involved in high- pressure matches and he’s never been scared to get the cards out when he sees fit.
“But there’s no doubt for me he made the wrong call at Dens Park on Saturday. For a guy with Craig’s experience it should have been a bread-and- butter decision.
“Sutton was pretty strong in his criticism but that comes with the territory when you make a mistake like that.
“Having watched the incidents a few times it’s pretty clear Forrester should have been sent packing.”
Despite mistakes like Saturday Thomson like Willie Collum appears untouchable to the SFA denying other refs, like Richmond once was, the opportunity to progress and take charge at a higher level.
If Thomson didn’t bottle it, if he didn’t recognise further yellow card offenses he should be dropped down the divisions to improve his decision making skills.l.
