At the time of publishing this blog there is two weeks to go before the 2016/17 starts
So far Chelsea and ManUtd have been very well supported with high expectations that their new Managers have the necessary drive and purchasing power to improve upon the respective finishing positions.
This support has meant that there is now a drift in the price of the market leader/favourite ManCity
I have taken a positive view on the market price of ManCity in that it is now currently very good value
The other area of value is Leicester, at 38 points they will have to have the wheels completely fall off to trade higher then this......at least during there first few games
I have posted a copy of my wager (£750 ManCity and £200 Leicester) at my Twitter account MostLose https://twitter.com/mostlose/status/759408911506083841
The last time I tried to post a live wager it failed and yep I had egg on my face....I hope I don't repeat this again, fingers crossed and feel free to comment etc.
Is anyone dutching the top 3 or 4 clubs? I was considering putting a grand or so on City and Utd (although Utd are a bit too short at the moment and I have got a few bob on Chelsea already at 7.2), half as much on Chelsea, with smaller amount on Liverpool to cover. Was also thinking about a saver on Arsenal to limit liability, but not sure if it will be necessary. Obviously this would have been disastrous last season, but I can't see anything like that happening again.

No one could see that happening last season. If you are going to back everyone except Spurs may as well just lay Spurs.

City were mainly favs in the first place due to the expectation that would Guardiola would bring the players already there to a new level and that they'd be buying ready made world class stars.
As it is Pep seemed exasperated by the inability of his squad to follow simple instructions in the friendly the other day and their signings have hardly been sensational.
So a drift seems reasonable.
Though i have been unimpressed with the transfer business of all the leading clubs tbh
I think you are wrong to expect Leicester's price will remain stable if they have a bad start . If they are not Top 8 after 4 games they will be well over 100

I wouldn't back everyone except Spurs. Just £1200 or so on City, A grand or so on Utd, £5oo on Chelsea and about £250/275 saver on Liverpool. I've decided not to bother with Arsenal. This would give me a potential profit of over £1400 on Utd or City, £400 or so on Chelsea and about £50/£60 if Liverpool win it. Liability would be just under £3K, whereas if I just laid Spurs (to get the kind of potential profit I'd be hoping for with the 2 Manc clubs) would mean a liability of over £13K. But, as i say, I'll be looking for a better price for Utd and I already have some on Chelsea at 7.2.

I tend to agree the value seems at the top end of the market to me, the market is scared of another Leicester and all the outsiders seem artificially low. I easily see a 2 horse race between Utd and City with maybe Chelsea involved, not sure about them yet.
Liverpool seem a shocking price to me too, albeit have drifted a bit from 10s now. It's hard to see any improvements they've really made to their team in the window so far and they were miles off the pace last year in one of the weakest Premier Leagues ever.

Are you staying up for the boxing, n88 ? Frampton's price is very tempting indeed, looks 50/50 to me. I'll be very surprised if Frampton doesn't at least give Santa Cruz the fight of his life, and he coud win it.

theres somne decent boxing on Sky earlier , Dillian Whyte v Dave 'White Rhino' Allen , in Leeds
maybe not decent in terms of skills though

Will try to. The price on Santa Cruz looks ridiculous to me. It's priced up like they're not on the same level, and I really don't know why. I can foresee a way Frampton wins, and in general how people are choosing has it much closer to 50:50 than the odds do.

I have yet really to see anyone come up with an explanation on Santa Cruz's price, it continually gets backed in while everyone on here/Twitter I've seen has said the value is with Frampton. It does seem like you are getting nearly 3/1 on what should be a close to evens shot.

Yep, I think too much has been made of Frampton's 2 flash knockdown's against another Mexican when he last fought in the States. frampton says he wasn't right that night, and I believe him. The ring was also very spongy, which can affect balance, besides he wasn't hurt. Anyway, better not bang on about boxing on the football forum, might get a slap on the wrist.
