You'll be hoping Sam doesn't get the England job morpteh.
The last thing Sunderland want is to be scratching around for a new manager a few weeks before the season starts, they need to be focussing on the transfer market now (both ins and outs). |
By:
BSA will sort out the defence, and then maybe we won't be leaking 2 goals to Iceland.
Portugal manager Fernando Santos age 61 had never won out till last week, just because you win cups at club level does'nt mean it follows you are going to be a great international boss. |
By:
What have the ones who have gone before him achieved? England have won nothing since '66. He can't be any worse than his predecessors!!
By:
He can't be any worse than his predecessors!!
I'll take 1.01 he can. |
By:
He had great success at Bolton and Sterling is like Jay Jay Okocha and Rooney is like John McGinley.
By:
All he has to do is qualify for the WC in Russia....that's success for England these days.... if we do qualify then its impossible to be worse than Hodgson and Capello.
By:
Rooney is like John McGinley. NAP
By:
At least he'll have the surprise card on his side amongst the other managers in Russia because none of them would have ever heard of him.
By:
Sams the man imo ,was gooing to have a punt but hate these markets were the outcome could already be known so cant have a punt .
He is at least English ,a Northerner ,his own man ....all things that have in the past kept him out the job but things that might now put him innit but somehow i feel the agenda ,the behind the scenes witch doctors playing with thar ouja boards will have other eye deers |
By:
He might look like a dope and sound like a dope but I think he is an intelligent man who might just be what England need.
By:
He'll bring back that loving feeling to the national team
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0315xbv5Gk |
By:
he cant do worse but that's not to say he will do better, expect several years of mediocrity and shocking football before the country finds the ideal replacement for RH.
By:
totally out of his depth but whenever has that stopped the fa ?
By:
So if not fat Sam who do people think will be the saviour of English football?.....good luck with that one cos he doesn't exist.
By:
Reading this you would think England had been playing attractive football for years.

crisp77 dont mention the brilliant jay jay okocha in the same breath as jazz hands sterling not fit to lace jay jays boots
By:
you'd think every manager after alf ramsey was a success, quite the opposite ,all have failed to different degrees.
By:
even alf failed after 66 morp
doesnt mean it should be blueprint for the next one |
By:
of course it doesn't but way people getting knickers in a knot about allardyce is incredible, its as though we were regular finalists/winners in all major tournaments when we're are anything but.
By:
Should be suited by the limited players he has to chose from imo.
By:

I wouldn't regard Venables as a failure. I know we didn't win Euro 96 but we were going in the right direction and some of the football was great to watch. |
By:
be a good manager for england, knows how to set up up a team unlike roy
By:
Best man for the job...
Gets the best out of mediocre players Great organiser and inovator. Only 5 managers have won more Manager of the Month awards Has won league championships in two countries. Right age and wont take any nonesense off so called superstars. |
By:
At least England wont get relegated
By:
Andy Carroll would be the first name on the team sheet
![]() |
By:
