Hate that the commentators keep mentioning "if" Ireland had been given the penalty it would have been a different game,

Well of course it would have, but they've been rightly hammered, as Belgium were the only side today that have turned up to actually win the game.

The big teams won't be too worried about Belgium.

to be fair I think I saw whelan pass the ball forward during the match not sure but think it was him so we are getting better

Italy top the group even if they lose to Ireland. Forgot about H2H record. 6-4 doesnt make any appeal in that context.

I know. But they need a confidence boost. Grin

Not great, but Italy and Belgium are really the only two sides in this group who remotely play decent football. Would be a travesty if Ireland and/or Sweden to go through.

Unless you think Italy are basically going to fix it I can't see why anyone wouldn't take 6/4

Whelan still brings more to the Irish team than Long though.

yeah it's a great price. Even their second string team should easily win.

no think whelan and keane our 2 worst players for some time whelan dosen't want the ball if he gets it then he lumps it anywhere keane too old, taking off long our best player is a joke and we deserved to be thrashed

I will concede that if there is one team in the tourney unlikely to f1x a game, its the Italians. Crazy

Italian reserves could be champing to put on a show to get in first team, Ireland are very average. I'm on the 6/4 as I said the other two nations would kick up fcuk if Italy didn't play properly.

Shows how weak their squad is then if Long is the best player.  I don't rate him at all.

I may well. Backing sides at 6/4 who are impqcted negatively by losing doesnt sound like a long term winning strategy to me. Italy could lose 7-0 and will still win the group. Obviously theyre miles better than Ireland that doesnt matter in a completely meaningless fixture. Least not in my eyes.
By:

When: 18 Jun 16 16:13
Italy would have to lose to do Ireland a favour, then could be pipped by belgium, only score that suits Italy is draw or win. A win keeps the confidence going 100% record in group stage.

Italy win the grouo regardless of what happens in the two games stroodle. The h2h means the win against Belgium overrides any goal difference etc.

well for a team that doesn't want the ball i think they did very well, saw the highlights and whelan did actually pass a ball forward which got to one of our players so that was good. Arter must be having a good laugh at home.
