Flares are easily to smuggle into any ground. You get a pat down at these high security matches , nothing else.
They smuggle them in down their pants, nobody is going to pat down there are they? This can happen in any Stadium so blaming the French authorities is just daft it can and does happen here (England vs Poland). Until X-ray machines come in, it will continue to happen. |

All well and good saying flares can be smuggled in down the pants but the French are supposed to on high alert. Note to terrorists: if you want to get a bomb into a football stadium put it down your pants.

Basically what happened here was - Hajduk Split fans are unsatisfied with constantly loosing the national championship and they blame the people in the national football association. These pathetic subhumans are willing to do anything including traveling to france, buying a ticket and smuggling flares to kick the national team out of euro.
