i havent been to helsinki in a long time but it was the coldest, darkest and overall most miserable place you could imagine    i was there for 2 months in january-february 10 years ago, probably totally different this time of year

Well this is quite a miserable place. You must truly work hard to not get depressed. Most people are on a slide down the depression line and they comfort themselves with alcohol. 8 months of the year is dark, about 3 months are summer, june july and august. Sometimes a little warm already at may and september. Then its again snow and water and snow and everything.

Damed I could have put the 50e on brazil goals 6.5 or 7.5 1.01, would be 4702.5e (minus commission) now. I could fly to the sun. Ofcourse I would fly at night so I  wouldnt burn myself. Sun is about 27 million celsius in temperature.

yeeah johnni it was only the weather i didnt like.  i enjoyed the city and the women liked speaking english to me, the trips to tallinn were great too.  everything was fine except it was dark 19 hours per day and it was -20 all the time.


2 friends of mine were on a university exchange, one of them decided to leave half way through as he couldnt stand the cold air and dark skies.  i felt sorry for the other friend who was left on his own so went to stay in a free room for 2 months as i was unemployed and had nothing better to do.

it was the haiti v peru game that had the bad weather.

ecuador looked good on the break v brazil and coped well with what looked and proved to be a decent brazil side.

peru were comfortable v haiti i thought, they wont be hammered here, this is one of the tougher games to call.

I've been so involved with the horses earlier, then the basketball markets I didn't really pay full attention to tonight.  missed opportunities big time.  Fancied the cavs in the NBA so much should have had a strategy and put them everywhere.

Yes, my hopes aren't high for entertainment especially in the group stages. I prefer the way SA football is played in general.
