few daft berks on this forum, seething about a friendly played between two teams who's main focus is not to get injured. and some of will actually wager with real money, Jesus wept

Your right. We should leave off safe in the knowledge that the manager in charge will get it right when it counts like he has in the previous two tournaments. Oh....hold on.
As for your comment about the wagers you do realise England actually WON? Not got the hang of performance verses result have you? |

Instead of paying a manager millions a year it might be better to pay a small salary and top it up with bonuses for (1) qualifying, (2) getting out of the tournament group, (3) winning the group, (4) winning the knock out games.
Managers are getting paid for poor results. |

Hodgson's interview shows him to be more deluded than Andy Burnham. England were awful and things only looked up when Sturridge came on.
Defences are going to sit deep so we need trickery around the box. From what we saw the other game Sterling & rashford are on the same wavelength. Add Sturridge and we have all the trickery we need to unlock a few defences. |

I thought it was Lallana rather than Sturridge that improved things when he came on
