do you see it happening?even with a far weaker team than we put out last friday i still feel we can make a fist of things tonight. i pretty convinced are a one man band in forestrieri.a goal at anytime within the first hour gives us a sporting chance. i really think the owls missed a trickles week, after we were down to 10 men they apart from the second goal they hardly made stockade make a save and they could possibly have finished the tie that night.their fans were ole oleing every time they knocked it about their own half oblivious of the fact they could have put it to bed.we didn't finish 15 points clear of them by mistake so you know we still have a glimmer of hope and I've backed albion to qualify at seems a fair enough price
This has all the fieryness of Chelsea vs Spurs, another ref not following the laws of the game and thus allowing the game to get away from him the longer it goes on.
Perhaps he wants to book all eleven players and not send one off?

congrats to team forestieri but even you won't get this mob past hull at wembley. hopefully hull will put them to the sword, they've used up ten matches worth of good luck against albion.

not moaning , i think the play off are a good thing, but only a fool would think wednesday deserve promotion.it could be us next season finishing a furlong behind the third placed side and gaining promotion and id be delighted to see it happen but it won't make it deserved.

I think theyve got the playoffs balance fine. Its nto often thered 3 sides in the running for the top 2 slots, it looks harder on Brighton this year than in previous seasons.
all the sides know the structure before the off, brighton dropped points in 22/46 games, they had chances all seasonto avoid these games.

totally agree clacher , the play offs keep mid table sides interested for a few games after xmas and they make good entertainment. i reckon if by somehow progress past hull (Personally even in a one off game id be surprised) they'll need to sign 10 players to have a sporting chance of staying up.albion are due to blowing out in the play offs but previously its not been down to bad luck, palace last and others previously outplayed them over the two games.

hi cricket of course one off gives any team some sort of chance but idd be surprised if hull don't give shelf a proper pasting.. btw I'm thinking of backing sussex for the t20 blast as they've signed mustafizur , he looks the real deal in the ill and i can imagine him bamboozling domestic players.

I guess as an alternative to these 2 legged play off semi finals, they could follow other countries and give them a 4 team bgroup to decide the winner, it would be more fair but you wouldnt be anywhere near as much of a spectacle for the neutrals.
i reckon by the end of a championship season, playing 46 games on all 7 days of the week for tv coverage, a few cup games in between, most sides and fans would rather just get it over with in 2.
in the past its usually been the case that 3rd place goes through to the final, as theyre typically the ones that are safe in their position waiting for the rest to claim thier playoff spots, with 6th fighting to the very end. this year was the other way around with brighton scraping to the end and failing with sheffield wednesday coastin gin under no pressure from ipswich.

i think the play off system is a good as it ca be to be truthful, and i actually like the play offs but the team that goes up in the plays doesn't always deserve promotion.i personally hope and expect hull to have little problem in the final and having finished clear of wednesday they will deserve promotion far more.as one of financially more secure clubs in the championship no doubt we will find money for houghton to improve the squad further and be better still next season and with a little more luck get promoted automatically.

if you have a play off atleast have the 3,4,5,6 places play off against the 15,16,17,18 EPL teams (even though that system isn't entirely fair as 6th could truimph over 3rd) but it's a lot better .
Something along those lines and then let teams take their chances .
At the moment it's a ***** nonsense .

I feel a bit sorry for Brighton this season, but in the context that I support Wednesday then Im afraid everyone is sacrificial.
Its been 16 years for christs sake since one of the most significant clubs in the history of English football have been in the top flight, all the time seeing some of the most questionable rabble turn up as premiere clubs.

I have been saying since November on the Brighton and Hove Albion facebook website, that it would take around 91 points to go up automatically this season and was promptly told that if you got 85 you would definatly go up. I told them otherwise and said at the time, Brighton would need an extra point as well, because of their poor goal difference. Nobody cared to listen to me, they beat Rotherham, who were a very poor team at home 2-1 and even worse beat Milton Keynes 2-1 at home, who were an absolute shambles at the back, on that day. These were the results that cost us the Automatic Promotion.

Yes we have and if we have to have wretched play offs, at least have it, between 3rd and 4th in the Championship, against 3rd and 4th bottom in the Premier League over 2 legs
