I don't know. But I don't think Strachan has done any better than Burley or Levein and with him in charge it will probably be another 10 years before we qualify for a tourney. The Berti Vogts escapade was a disaster but given we seem to now be in a process of hiring any Scottish manager who has ever managed a team in the lower leagues in England regardless of any sucess I would prefer to see someone maybe from abroad again if that is where we need to go for somebody that is actually with potential in their career rather than just looking for an easy semi-retirement. |

Pass me the sick bucket. A Scot having a snipe at the Scottish manager who has turned the team around, which was a complete shambles before he took over. Best Scottish squad for years and a great manager who can take them to the next World Cup
Aye yer spot on mac he did turn the team around. Pity though it was on the road to the Euros. And best Scottish squad for years? I'm wetting myself at that. FFS we're on a par with Albania and the likes. |

We started great under Strachan the football we played in the friendlies was tremendous but when it mattered we just didn't play. The performance in Georgia was shocking (no shots on goal) and we just seem to be getting worse. Strachan constantly seems to pick his favourite players like non goalscorer Steven Fletcher and his comments recently are of a man who can't see a way forward and picking players like Gordon Greer 35 year old hasn't played for months and without a club against the likes of France indicates as much.
His 4-2-3-1 system doesn't work imo as it leaves us far too exposed but he is not one to change. As for who else there is once we fail in this campaign (let's be honest we haven't a hope in hell) I haven't a clue. |

Its ok Celtic players like Tierney and Griffiths will be in WC qualifiers and don't Rangers have gems i keep hearing ?

celtic/Rangers/Hearts/Hibs/Sheep all have a few decent Scots in the squad we should look any further than Scotland and the EPL , no need to go for English Championship players.
