Pressure all on Utd tonight. Hammers stopped Utd winning league in 1992 and 95.

Hopefully they will ruin another Utd season.

The Boleyn Ground, often referred to as Upton Park, is an association football stadium located in Upton Park, east London. Since 1904, it has been the home of Premier League side West Ham United F.C., with their predecessors Thames Ironworks playing their home games at Hermit Road. The stadium was also briefly used in the early 1990s by Charlton Athletic during its years of financial difficulty. The current seating capacity of the ground is 35,016. From the beginning of the 2016-17 season, West Ham United will play their games at the Olympic Stadium

Surely West Ham should be favourites based on league position and the three previous encounters with United this season.  I'm surprised to see the home win is over 2-1.

In the cup replay a month ago the Hammers were unlucky to lose given they had twice as many attempts on goal than United did both on and off target.  Perhaps the quality of finishing and an outstanding keeper made the difference but Martial could be out tonight.  West Ham also dominated the reverse fixture at Old Trafford only to come away with a 0-0 draw and United failed to beat them at home in the cup where it ended 1-1.  So in the last three games, West Ham have dominated two and matched them in the other.

Home win it is for me, they'll want to bounce back from the disastrous result on Saturday and I'm expecting West Ham to have most of the game.  They just need to aim their shots into the corner where De Gea can't reach it!

Nonsense in the replay United dominated the game bar the last 15 minutes when the home team got desperate and threw caution to the wind , in last 14 league games against west ham United have won 11 and drew 3.

Fergie was probably manager for most of those.

My mistake, United did outplay West Ham in the reverse league fixture, was looking at the wrong stats. But in the last 270 minutes of football against the Hammers, United have had just 7 shots on target.
