Not before time either lads, they had a job to do tonight and they did it.We came from a impossible position, heart warming when you think how we were ROBBED in France.
Report tim6 November 16, 2015 10:25 PM GMT
what was really heart warming was the fact that they played the ball on the ground and passed to each other. Can't be sure but think I even saw Whelan trap a ball and actually passed it to another Irish player when usually he would boot it away. Brady has to go to midfield as he makes them tick, got the X factor.
Report oneyallbeenwaiting4 November 16, 2015 10:43 PM GMT
ireland are the luckiest team in the history of football, they get goals without doing anything to make them and their parked caravan is unbeatable

Report workrider November 16, 2015 11:06 PM GMT
I take that as finished 4th then ? as aside whens the last time Scotland qualified for any major tournament ?
Report FredRescue November 16, 2015 11:07 PM GMT
Don't think there is any argument that Scotland are a better team, but parking the bus is a valid tactic and was enough for Ireland to qualify
Report oneyallbeenwaiting4 November 16, 2015 11:13 PM GMT
Scotland took 4 points off ireland in two games, they are clearly a better team with better players, its not even debatable

they were the better team in Germany and lost with Muller taking every half sniff of a chance, Germany could have took 8 or 9 off ireland and lost the game from an assist from a rookie half time sub keeper for the love of god

ireland had all the luck and scotland threw it away against Georgia

dont give me the table doesnt lie nonsense, if the table doesnt lie after 10 games then why do they play 30 odd in a season?

the best team does not always win, and tables do sometimes lie, luck plays a massive part in football, its the craziest sport there is
Report oneyallbeenwaiting4 November 16, 2015 11:14 PM GMT

Ireland took 4 points off Germany. By your logic Ireland are better than Germany.

Report CLYDEBANK29 November 17, 2015 8:30 AM GMT
Luck does play a major part in 90 minutes but I don't recall Scotland being unlucky apart from getting a tough group.  They deserved to lose in Georgia.  The unluckiest team by far were The Netherlands.
