They usually cancel the in play bets before opening the markets back when such problems occur, but a lot of traders are going to get f'd anyway

What do you expect from a company that doesn't even know that the Margate v Forest Green game kicked off at 12.30 and NOT 3.00 as advertised on site!!!

anyone know if they have posted a message about the problem.Something like"rest assured we are on the case".This is not good for business.Perhaps they do not know that there is a problem and are at their lunch break.

We should all make a mass exodus to smarkets in protest. At least I'd save 3% commission.

If the exchange website does come back on, I would advise you all not to bet today as in the past if the site goes down once it continues to have problems intermittently.

For many markets, you can use Sportsbook to lay off risk. That is assuming that all bets placed before the crash of Exchange are cancelled. If only they would say!

I thought nobody can use the sportsbook, my max bet is virtually nothing , has been from day 1

That's what they all say, bumfair has got you all by the b0ll0cks and they know it. Bumfair are not interested in the exchange anymore or it's customers.

The Betfair 999 Maintenance Team rush out to the Sportsbook first these days - it is a bit like private healthcare.

Then if they have time, they will send a stretcher out to the Exchange Dept

I just used Sportsbook. Trouble is that the odds there are not great, but at least I could largely mitigate the open risk (or at least what I presume to be the current open risk). That is easy for me to say, however, as the only bet I had was fortunately well in the money at half time on Blackburn/Burnley (betting on less than 1.5 goals).

"Our techincal and engineering teams are working as quick as they can"

Meaning, Barry and Dave were sitting down drinking tea, so we've given em the hurry up.
