Game isn't over yet, grant, as shyte as Malmo have been. Decent enough save from Gordon a couple of minutes ago.

17/10 looking huge right about now
Report jamesdean August 19, 2015 9:05 PM BST

Report Platini August 19, 2015 9:11 PM BST
2-0 = driving seat
3-1 is not

need a 4th now, without conceding
Report jamesdean August 19, 2015 9:14 PM BST
3-1 isn't driving seat?

10-8 would be in the driving seat. It's a 2 goal lead.

The odds on qualifying will tell you that.

Let's hope we get the 4rth!
Report Platini August 19, 2015 9:16 PM BST
No way, 2-0 is miles better than 3-1, 4-2

need a 4th.
Report jamesdean August 19, 2015 9:19 PM BST
Of course 2-0 is better than 3-1 or 4-2 but a 2 goal lead is in the driving seat.

4-1 would be fantastic!
Report Platini August 19, 2015 9:21 PM BST
It's an advantage but not a commanding advantage.

Celtic can't defend. Malmo big favs now.
Report Mikael D'Haguenet August 19, 2015 9:50 PM BST
You were impressed by Malmo defensively then?
Report Platini August 19, 2015 9:52 PM BST
Malmo can't defend either, but they're far better going forward. Their home record speaks for itself. Big favs for me.
Report DFCIRONMAN August 19, 2015 9:54 PM BST
Sloppy play late in game ...distracted by booking on the corner...and set piece wins Swedes a 2nd goal.

CELTIC are very likely to score at least 1 goal away IMO....so still in with fair chance to qualify ...though LUSTIG loss is big one for C.
Report Mikael D'Haguenet August 19, 2015 9:54 PM BST
Exactly. Far from over.

Btw, you're not joe67 are you?
Report Geesyerdosh August 19, 2015 9:59 PM BST
2 poor sides, but Celtic still have a massive chance. Don't read to much into Malmo's 3-0 win v Salzburg. Salzburg absolutely battered them but couldn't score.

Might sound like I'm being over pessimistic but I've watched Celtic and scottish football getting worse every year.
They were never big favs for this tie.
Report Mikael D'Haguenet August 19, 2015 10:03 PM BST
And I agreed with you in the first reply on this thread. Of course Malmo are favs now but you're righting them off far too readily imo. That said, I saw none of the 2nd half.

Two very poor sides as posted above and the money won will make little difference to either of their long term prospects.

Malmo manager was very insulting towards Celtic in pre-match interviews so this is very much a grudge match with Celtic wanting to stuff his words down his throat. Form goes out of the window in these situations and I can see a very feisty game in the return leg. Malmo also very poor defensively and I can't see them keeping a clean sheet. Finely balanced match which could go either way and which I shall be avoiding Cool

The manager for Malmo is a serious wind up merchant.  Says the late injury time goal was because Celtic "didn't have legs for 90 minutes". LOL

Second leg should be a good watch, both teams give the ball away too cheaply in midfield and they can't defend as is.

Just seemed too good to miss Malmo to qualify but only risked small money on it. (already cashed out for almost full amount)

Report jamesdean August 26, 2015 6:21 PM BST
Well done to all who got on Malmo to qualify.

But a bit of perspective is in order, not every bet that wins is a good value bet

First of all Celtic could easily have been 4 up after 30 minutes at Parkhead. They then conceded a 95th minute goal or there abouts to make it 3-2 rather than 3-1. That totally changed the 2nd leg.

In the 2nd leg, we had a perfectly good goal chopped off for no reason to make it 1-1. Again, if this goal stands it turns the match on its head.

That's not taking away from anyone who bet it. It was a good call in the end. Whether it was value is a matter of opinion.

You can't cherry pick decisions. Griffiths should have been sent off and wouldn't have been on the park to impede the Malmo goalie at the 'goal'.

Make your mind up. Decisions cost games. Of course you can pick decisions. They are what's discussed after nearly every game on tv. Celtic never got a thing over there from the ref. Over the two legs we were unfortunate not to go through.
The tie should have been over after 30 minutes at Parkhead.

Not taking anything away from the call or Malmo though
Report TheChaser August 27, 2015 8:13 PM BST
