1-1 Millwall after having a goal disallowed for offside :(

Our defence is rubbish!!! Had plenty of chances, we'll definitely get one more goal in this game.

Haha, I heard about that jynx, Steve Davis under pressure @ Crewe these days, think you'll stay up?

16 shots to 2 in Coventry game, seems to be one way traffic.

My most optimistic expectation for Crewe for this season was scraping survival and from what I've seen so far I'm on the verge of downsizing my expectations. Fully expect us to lose tonight still too. Still want Davis to stay though.

Just browsed your fans forum last night, seems like a lot of debate over whether to keep the academy up.

We lost ours about 7 years ago after Jackett said theres no money to be made in it now as big clubs can steal your players for peanuts when they are under 16.

Our best player this season though has come through our academy, hopefully youngsters will start to realise that if you stay at the lower clubs, you have a higher chance of making it as a professional football player. All the ones who left as youngsters to Chelsea, Portsmouth and Liverpool are nowhere with their careers right now.

A team to oppose these days is Yeovil as well, haven't touched their matches so far but they have about 12 fit professionals at the club. York are currently battering them on the statistics with 12 shots to 1.

Did wonder what the odds statistically would be.

1-2 Barnsley!!!

100% of league games gone over 2.5 for us now....

More chances will still come in this game as Harris has to go for it, losing 2 games in a row at home isn't good enough with our budget!

Goal for Coventry, hold out this lads.

21 shots to 2.

I see York took the lead against Yeovil as well, should have jumped on that at half time.

Carlisle making the longest Football League trip of the season on a Tuesday night, losing 4-0. Apparently in the previous 11 trips to Plymouth - equivalent of getting to South Africa (and back?) they've taken just one point.

Fred with the second, he's looking like the real deal for this division at least.

2 goals today, involved in both goals in the opening game.

Only 19/20 years old.

re Crewe's academy, it is getting harder now players can walk away.  The thing is, our academy is producing results. Most of our first team squad are academy kids and we regularly turn out someone good enough that it can pay for itself. I think it would be a terible mistake to abandon the academy now. There's 7 Prem and 6 Championship academies within 60 miles so competition is fierce but I do think kids and parents do choose Crewe ahead of other clubs because of the reputation of the club (good coaching, play the right way, get given a chance & get sold when the time is right). Our Youth team won at Arsenal and beat Burnley in the FA Youth Cup last season before getting beaten by Man City in the Quarter Finals so they must have a few prospects too. Giving that up would give away about the only thing we've got going for us.
