good luck , least you have put some thought into it and come up with a plan. It is very difficult almost impossible but not impossible. Discipline is the key along with patience, shutting out complacency completely and avoiding betting for the sake of having a post on the forum is also needed.
As the sums get bigger that's where the mental battle begins.

Thanks Knuckles, I did put some thought into it what to aim for and take back etc. Discipline and patience are very important, posting my bets I was doing helped me not take some of the more risky bets I think I would normally take (and end up losing on lol). It can be difficult and maybe nobody will complete their targets they have in mind, but I will have some fun and hopefully a decent profit along the way without risking a stack of my own money so to speak. I believe the 100 bets can be done if you don't take risky bets. (like my last one) Plus have a plan to make withdrawls every so often.

That was a freak result i'm sure you will agree. That's why it's important to have a rake back plan in place so if it does go wrong you still made some profit along the way.

I've been following this thread for a while and been toying with the idea for the past week. I liked the suggestion of doubling-up and starting again until 10 steps in front. I went two steps up immediately, dropped down to two steps below starting point and over the past few days I've managed to get two steps up again.

Anyway, I appreciate this thread and the suggestions contained herein and I wish you all the very best for your future bets

Good luck with this, I tried it in the past and had an incredible run of nil nils, I am playing with draw bets in the 1st 10mins of a game, and the odds are generally 1.11 which isn`t bad for 10 mins work.

I don't think anyone does. And it's not what this challenge is about. It's simply about seeing who can go the longest without hitting a 0 - 0, which seems easy enough but really isn't when you start doing the challenge yourself. (Or is it? ) The only way this kind of betting is going to make you a profit is if you withdraw some of your winnings along the way and/or adjust your stake accordingly, and even then you have to be plain lucky at times to get a goal.

If making a profit is the only reason for doing this challenge, you certainly don't want to bet on games you're not watching and you have to have the discipline to walk away from a game without betting on it, even if before the game you were absolutely sure there would be a goal. If it does not look/feel right, find another game. (Believe it or not, even teams like Real Madrid cannot always be relied upon... )

On the subject of withdrawing, I have decided to withdraw €30.00 from my current bank and continue playing with the €12.80 that remains. The reason for this is that pickings for games that 'fit the bill' are slim and I'm bored with it. From now on, I'm going to do what most of you silly people have been doing and that's backing goals at silly low odds, but I'm not going to risk it all after all the hard work I've done to get this far.

I know it'll all end in tears sooner or later, but at least this way I don't have to beat myself up for getting involved in games that I would normally not touch with a 10-foot pole.

I do feel that it wouldn't be wrong to bank some of the profit you made, though. Nobody could blame you if you took out, say, half of what you've made so far and continued with the rest, which is still a very decent amount of money to bet with. But that's just me talkin', of course...

That's a sound plan. In the meantime, I'm going to get involved in the game that not many people seem to have much faith in, looking at the odds for just one goal:

Tranmere Rovers are slight favorites in the Match Odds market, but haven't even hit the target in the first half. I'm guessing I'll need them to step it in the second half if there is to be a goal, which is something I'm counting on. (The stepping up part. We'll have to wait and see about the goals.) Welling have had four on-goal attempts so far, and maybe with a little more accuracy (and power?) they're the ones who are going to break the deadlock. Either way is fine with me, to be honest...

When i look at the .5 market @ HT, anything under 4 usually scares me off getting involved. whether thats good discipline or what im not sure. but anything under 4 @ HT I usually stay away. just reminds me to much of horrible Russian Div 2 or Argie games. DIRT! GL though!
