I cannot believe that price and may even fly to the UK to do a trawl of Betfraud..

The worst Manager in the top four Leagues, a stadium that should be closed down on health and safety grounds and a squad that has to be the worst ever to wear the Blue shirt.

The Chairman has allegedly spent all the cash on ailing West End Shows (he has not produced one that has made a profit since Everton last won a trophy)...

Never said that the once proud toffees would go down just that 66/1 is far too big and they will be in the mix.

I can agree with the poster that West Ham will go close and will have a saver at about 7/1..

There are some shockingly bad run teams such as Leicester Newcastle and Sunderland but I will take a chance...

Not too big at all. Fair price. Everton have a fair bit of quality. Think Newcastle will do alright this year. A couple of decent signings already in and it looks like Cahrlie Austin is going there as well. I expect them to finish 10-14th place.

I have no faith whatsoever in our manager but certainly think we have the players to finish top 10.

Potential back four of Baines, Coleman, Jagielka and Stones.

Midfield from McCarthy, Barry, Cleverley, Besic, Osman, Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu.

Should Lukaku get injured (as he is currently), a back-up of only Kone and Naismith is worrying.

My other worry is our coaching methods. Nineteen hamstring injuries last season and four/five already in three pre-season games. Cannot be down to bad luck.

I considered that ccm, but as far as I saw he only missed a couple of days and was back by wednesday I think.

I missed Borini off my list. Can't help but think they're significant and that if a deal isn't already pending they're being told they have no future here.

As an aside, and purely because I can't be arsed raising the relegation thread, what's people's thoughts on Everton to go down? Delofeu's potentially a good signing though he was apparently poor last year, while Cleverley isn't any kind of improvement on what they have. Father time keeps ticking on the likes of Howard, Jagielka, Baines and Barry yet they all still seem integral to the team. Meanwhile, teams around them such as Newcastle, Stoke, Palace, Villa, West Ham and Swansea are all strengthening some with eye catching players. There's still half a dozen teams at least who are very much worse than them but at 66/1 I can't help but be tempted.

I can see them struggling but relegation is a stretch too far. You need too many of the dross at the bottom (Leicester, Villa, Sunderland and the promoted teams) to have excellent seasons and Everton to have a shocker...maybe you will get a good trading opportunity but then that ties up more money.

Thanks everyone for posting on my behalf.

My main bet is on  Leicester earlier in the summer at 9/2 but the cat's well and truly out the bag with them.

I can't disagree that there are worse teams than Everton and I'm not saying they should be among the faves, I just think 66/1 is value. They haven't strengthened their squad, which has several ageing first teamers while reliable back-ups like Osman, Pienaar and Hibbert(Plain) look just about finished. Added to that their manager has form for relegation and they have a tricky start to the season and if they're in the bottom 3 or thereabouts at the start of September they could find it difficult to climb out.

Nobody willing to say which six of these dross outfits will finish above Everton? Can a case even be made for a single one of them to do so? Watford, Norwich, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Leicester, Villa, West Brom, Newcastle.
Report ours4keeps August 6, 2015 11:39 AM BST
You could make a case for any of them. The point is I (and the poster) think Everton could have a poor season.

I'd fancy Newcastle certainly could well finish ahead of them. West Brom have a great manager for that level who's expert at staying away from trouble. Sherwood's done a good job at Villa.

That leaves the 3 promoted teams, Sunderland and Leicester. For Sunderland a lot will depend on how their new striker does. I think Norwich will stay up quite comfortably, Bournemouth are a complete unknown quantity - they could be dreadful, or they could take the league by surprise. Watford have lots of money, aren't afraid of making changes and have a potential quality attacker in Deeney.

If I was to pick a bottom 3 it'd be Leiecester, Watford and - for value's sake - Everton.
Report DIE LINKE August 6, 2015 12:11 PM BST
It would be some feat for Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa to overtake Everton this season, the spreads have Everton increasing their points total against all three this season.
Report ours4keeps August 6, 2015 12:14 PM BST
Well, my opinion clearly differs from the spreads then. I do think Newcastle will show some improvement this year. The lad they've got from PSV could be a really good player I think. I would have said the same for Villa but it all hinges on how they replace Benteke and Delph. Sunderland will inevitably be a bit crap, just a question of will Everton be worse.
Report homefortea August 7, 2015 9:25 PM BST
