Womens team showed more composure and technique on the ball than the men. Let's face it we r a million miles a way from being a dominant world power in football. No success for another 50 years plus. Kids can't play footy in the streets because of our miserable generation thinking they might hit the car with a football. Can't send them to the park for fear of our kids coming across onerous characters. The left wing brigade who have inundated our education system who believe in anti competition and the rank piss poor coaching of our youngsters and the **** facilities that they have to endure while the premiership divvy up the vast amounts of money available without giving a thought to our youngsters and the long term future of our game. And then to hire people in positions of power who are habitual losers. All reasons why our game is doomed to miserable failure.

Same old England performance at a major tournament of not really pushing for the opening goal. Even when we went a goal down Portugal were doing more to get a second than we were of trying to get an equaliser. It was only in the last 5 minutes that we really went for it. Southgate is far too cautious. He even looks nervous on the touchline and that must transmit to the players on the pitch. We need a modern day Terry Venables as manager who can allow the players to express themselves and give them some positive energy instead of this cagey,safety first approach. When will we learn?
