Freddie Sears to score anytime @ 11/4... Budgies should be too strong for their 'local' rivals from what I've seen of Ipswich this season... Norwich to suffer a slow and agonising death at the hands of Boro in the Final...

Happy to stay up?  Happy to land the scorecast in the Preston game @ 190/1.  Was of little concern to myself if Col U were relegated in fact if relegation did occur I would have been having a few quid on relegation to the Conference the following season.  While your at my beck and call maybe you can answer a question.  When the tin pot club from North Essex tanked you 7-1 at your place was that the Budgies record home defeat?  Thanks in advance...

Norwich fans are so incredibly arrogant. Will they do us at Carrow Road? Probably. Is it 100% nailed on? Not a chance.
Report JC1326 May 9, 2015 2:33 PM BST
I know what a scorecast is, but 190/1? Who was your scorer, Jimmy Hoffa?

Dire second half, ffs. Norwich played within themselves. Why risk conceding from a set piece when you can take a comfortable draw and beat them at your own ground. Tactics, it's a higher level concept. Nothing a Colchester fan will ever understand Wink

It isn't arrogance, at all. Clearly Norwich are a level above. That's not really Ipswich's fault, we have the money from the Premier League. But we have better players, and play much better football. With every respect, I've seen your side three times now and you are absolutely shocking. You look like a bottom three side, not a top six. Be absolutely staggered if we don't go through against you

Report colupaul May 9, 2015 2:39 PM BST
Col U were 5/1 to win the game so that must give you some idea surely... 1-0 generally 14-16/1... Moncur generally 14-16/1 first goalscorer... not rocket science...
Report J2BLUE. May 9, 2015 2:47 PM BST
I don't know how to quote but 'absolutely shocking'? You couldn't beat an absolutely shocking side today? We're dangerous at certain things, set pieces, direct football etc etc. We hve a hard working team of players who will run all day for the team. Does that mean we will eventually meet a team with more quality and be found out? It probably does yes but we need one perfect away performance. It isn't impossible. It's unlikely, but not impossible. What if Sears breaks away in the first minute and you get a player sent off? Any number of possibilities really. One thing that does amuse me is people saying how pleased you must be to get us instead of Brentford. I like Brentford and their fans are fantastic but we took 4 points from them and according to their fans are the best team they saw at Griffin Park all season. On our day we can beat anyone.

Prediction for away leg: 3-1 Norwich but we won't give up hope.

I apologise to you, J2, if I offended. Colapaul's Norwich comments just get on my nerves, and he is a Colchester fan, so it's very easy to make fun of him

I don't take offence over these things and you'd be right to be confident. Collectively though your fans are extremely arrogant and looking past us. We'd just love to bring you back down to earth.
Report colupaul May 9, 2015 5:38 PM BST
JC1326 - you think you 'make fun' of someone because of the team they support?  Proper playground stuff... the idea you are somewhat superior to others because of what team you support... if my comments get on your nerves ignore them like any level-headed individual would do... your schoolboy mentality has been laid bare... your ignorance of the meaning of the word 'arrogant' displayed during a previous discussion with yourself... your lack of understanding of the term scorecast... even when the penny does finally drop you fail to grasp simple maths to work out the odds... I even give you the simple task of finding out if out SEVEN - ONE tanking of the Budgies (yes Budgies, that is who you support) is your worst ever home defeat... you've failed to achieve that... I'm quite ashamed that I have entered into a dialogue with someone of your emotional stature... you have displayed yourself as the quintessential Budgie fan... therefore, I think it's best if I block you to save you further humiliation on a public forum... all the best...

Honestly, I couldn't really care less what a seething Colchester fan says on an internet forum, I responded probably out of boredom. You need to get over that 7-1 too. No Norwich fan cares about our brief stint in the lower leagues, although it was all right having the league title wrapped up by about February. We're too busy looking upwards

I'm sure you would. But unless you get Messi and Ronaldo in on loan before the second leg, you're going home empty handed next week

No, I did mention it, but I imagine it's easy to forget, I expect heavy defeats like that are par for the course when you support Colchester
Report webboncfc May 10, 2015 10:26 PM BST
I'd ignore the comments about Norwich being arrogant. I'm sure there's some hidden joke in there somewhere. This is coming from a club who have had their club captain Luke Chambers already come out before the 1st leg and say he will be walking out at Wembley and for their manager to then say it will be Norwich fans who will be crying after this tie. If that's not arrogance I dont know what is! I hope it doesn't come back to haunt them... Heaven forbid 1p5wich don't finish the job off at Darrow Rd.
Report Normanston Rangers May 11, 2015 8:23 AM BST
Norwich may well play nice football but at the end of the day it is a one off match and Ipswich can win. Norwich defence is not great and it would not surprise me to see Ipswich score at Carrow Road. That being the case Norwich will need to score 2 to win. After watching Norwich lose to Middleborough at Carrow Road when Norwich lacked ideas and never looked liked scoring I fear for my team if Ipswich score first and then defend.
Report OnePercenter May 11, 2015 8:50 AM BST
I'd like Ipswich to win and go on to get promotion followed by the lowest points total in Premier league history - 7 Grin
Report webboncfc May 11, 2015 5:26 PM BST
Definitely Normanston. In essence, it's a one off cup tie, and its a 50/50 game imo. 1p5wich have certainly talked a good game, with Norwich players and management staying silent. The latest to comment is Paul Anderson today:-

“So we’ll be going to win, we won’t be setting out to try and nick anything, we can comfortably beat them.”

All you have to do is stick these comments on the home dressing room wall along with Mick McCarthys and Luke Chambers and that's the team talk done.
Report Johnny_Mustang May 11, 2015 5:28 PM BST
I don't wish to be indelicate but Ipswich supporters are, how can I put this, simple little people. Probably harmless too but there's something not quite right about them.
