to be fair to pearson and his fellow managers these reporters are getting very smarty pants these days.
By:
united nations called in to keep him and carver apart on saturday .....
By:
he does have a short fuse the journo could have received worse than he got
By:
It was a pathetic question, so got the pathetic answer it deserved.
By:
Doesn't have the same delivery as Cantona, you have to be articulate to carry it off and Pearson is anything but.
By:
what a tit

I cant improve on Lifter's post myself. Seems to sum it up well.
By:
Definitely bi-polar.
90% of the time he seems calm, articulate and pleasant. The other 10% he sounds carpet-chewingly mental and whilst I'm all for journalists getting a metaphorical clip in the mouth every so often, that was a fair and innocent question the guy asked. For him to receive that kind of vitriol was pathetic. |
By:
Didnt he have a run in with a fan and told him to go and die? |
By:
He's a tool
By:
He's good on Talksport
By:
Damning with faint praise if ever I saw it, marychain
By:
He was good in the young ones but didn't really do much after.
By:
Well played nigel, uk media are useless.
By:
Has a problem - as mentioned ,he is no Cantona
By:
Not a new thing - is it.
He has always had much more than a touch of arrogance, along with egotism. |
By:
he needs to learn basic English speaking - has trouble getting his words out ,makes himself look a buffoon .
By:
he has no people skills or charisma, would have liked to have been at his job interview
By:
He's a c0ck with massive issues. The journo actually asked quite a valid question as to what criticism Leicester have received in the last 6 months. Pearson stuck for an answer knowing it wasn't true went on the defensive. He doesn't liked to be seen humiliated, even if it's quite innocuous. Like when he grabbed that player for accidently falling into him.
He's also incredibly inarticulate hence bizarre quotes referencing ostriches etc. |

BBC's Pat Murphy vs Pearson. Fantastic to watch Pearson put in his place. Watch it. It's fantastic. |
By:
stupid man gets asked stupid question,
apology offered..apology acccepted, nobody died, move on. |
By:
"Was it you decision to apologise Nigel?"
Pregnant pause. "Yes". Maybe a better question would have been, "Was it your idea to apologise Nigel?" |
By:
No big deal. I can't see the problem.
By:
tbf that journo was desperate for Pearson to bite but all he got was "have you finished, thanks for the lecture and thanks for coming?"

Aside from an example of bullying, no, all absolutely brilliant.
What he said/did wasn't a sharp response a la Ferguson or Mourinho or whoever. It was prolonged, it was personally insulting, it was intimidating. He's not only as thick as sh1t, he's a bully. |
By:
he must be the only manager of a Midlands club to fall out with Pat Murray, PM is very pro Midlands teams.

Could have been worse. Wee Jim dealing with journalists in his normal manner. Punched the guy as soon as he went off screen. |

He's an ignorant wee man btw. I had a run in with him one day.
Two lanes merging into one and he bombed up the free lane and cut me off coming into the correct lane. |

It was prolonged, it was personally insulting, it was intimidating. He's not only as thick as sh1t, he's a bully. didn't fergie just used to ban journalists who he didn't like? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG_6cYYjRr0 Pearson is obviously under pressure and went bit over the top with the journalist personally i don't mind these kind of out bursts makes everything a bit more interesting. I thought Murphy was just banging the same drum and don't know exactly what he wanted pearson to say after all he had apologised earlier. |
By:
Pearson is OK imo ,could not believe the bbc had a "warning contains strong language " up for an interview in which he said stupid and idiot and called some hack an ostrich .
walofs ....and more of it today ,accusing him of being a bully ,trying to provoc a reaction ,every manager is a bully and needs to get fired up when the chips are down and get the players to fight for him . Hope Leicester stay up . |
By:
I think Pat Murphy came off worse there. Shame Pearson seems to be totally devoid of humour. He should have said who the feck are you, Judge Judy?
By:
Usual level of idiocy about what is and is not acceptable then. Carry on.
By:
agree with Hamsterdam, don't like Pearson but the Journo asking questions sounded a real arse, like he was enjoying his moment in the spotlight after electing himself the media's spokesman,.
By:
pandorica must be fishing !!!! thinks calling someone an ostrich is unacceptable....ffs get a grip man.

Not only does Todays Journalist think he is a Psychologist giving advice to Pearson, he tries to Antagonise him into an outburst,
These Journo`s write and print any Cr@p they want, claiming an "Unkown Source" divulged information, Libellous W@nkers. |
