Nobody can be sacked without an investigation, that's employment law.

Think the point here is had Clarkson behaved as he has done if working for sky or itv he would have fallen at the first fence. The BBC is not a left wing organization. A trade union is a left wing organization. Neither is it a right wing organization. It is like some thing out of the middle ages. Like the knights Templar. With its own rules, barely accountable to anyone. Clarksons genius is that he built a little empire for himself within it. Hard to imagine him getting away with it anywhere else.
