A first leg, and one in which Barcelona would be happy with a draw. Don't think goals will be as plentiful as many think.

Agree with ted most likely a tight game with fewer goals than expected! I think city would be delighted with a 0-0 tonight and hope to win on away goals but like I said on the other game thread for tonight 1st legs overly tight as bayern win 8-0 and 6-0 either side of drawing 0-0 with a less than average shakhtar team who they would usually stick 3-4 past! Small draw double on both for me tonight and might play unders on both then trade out in play! Good luck

City looked to keep things tight in the first game last season. They were playing them the same way Chelsea have in the past.
It only went wrong when they got the red card so you have to think they'll adopt the same approach again. |

Everytime barca come to england in first leg they usually play for the draw and dont really attack as they usually do, dont see much changing here, hope im worng an messi goes through them like a kinfe thr butter but theyl take a 1-1

Beat City in the 1st leg away last season 0-2 so im hoping for the same again tonight. Ill be happy if City can pull it off though for English clubs

Maybe but it looks to me they'll look to Silva, Nasri, Aguero and Dzeko to win them the game and the rest to keep it tight and not get ahead of the ball too much. Would be surprised if Zabaleta and Clichy go forward as much as they would usually. |

last year against barca at the etihad manc parked the bus and after the game that they lost 0-2 kompany said that they made the mistake of showing barca too much respect, so i'd be surprised if they defend as deep again (even if this approach worked well for malaga on saturday), if its an open game then goals are very likely
