I'll give it 20 minutes to see how interested they are and what Elche are up to. Elche failed to score against Barcelona (twice), Sevilla and Atlético Madrid, so I'd not be surprised if Real Madrid started off playing with the handbrake on. They don't need to win the game in the opening 20 minutes...

only danger is Real could have champions LEAGUE FATIGUE (this is where teams who play in this in midweek then fail to win league game straight after) But I still expect them to bring home the bacon |

I can't see the Champions League factor having a bearing on this match. Schalke weren't up to much and I really don't think Real Madrid gave more than 60/70% in that game. They look up for it, that's a good sign.

Can't imagine this half ending without goals, but I can't bring myself to backing a goal or two at these low odds. Even with Casillas in goal, Elche don't look like much of a threat. Real could just score one and not bother for the next hour or so.

You can't say they're not bothered, but the focus seems to be off a bit. I guess that's what you get playing in the Mickey Mouse league, where almost every other team virtually just rolls over in return for not getting completely ransacked.
