There will be a few Premiership clubs willing to buy him even if he fails to make any significant progress in Madrid so money well spent

Newcastle being the main one..LaughLaughLaugh

Though how they could afford him when they are in League One and Uncle Mike is basking in Champions League qualification at Rangers is beyond me...

May I refer you gently to the Newcastle forum where they seem to be able to talk all day and no-one has a job....

If they sell him at any point during his contract they'll easily recoup their outlay and if he goes on to become a star then they've got a bargain. So if he fails to make the first team in four years they can then sell him on for 16 million plus all the social cost and taxes which would make it over £20 million...Not sure that some "pundits" are fit to post...

Yes easily. We're in a world now where championship strikers go for 11m and seemingly the asking price for any top flight player is suddenly 15m minimum. Let's not forget this kid is already a full international, he's not sh*t. All of europe were after him for a reason. Clubs will still be queuing up, willing to buy him even if he fails at Madrid and the spaniards will still make a profit on him.

Chelsea are a perfect example of this. Acquire young talent, then if they're good enough they make the first team, if they're not they sell them on for profit (Lukaku and de Bruyne being 2 examples).

Madrid will not be losing out on this deal.

Yes it's obscene but then so are the pay packets of most players in a game that has the most over-rated athletes of any sport
