Sometimes I get a lot of #?&% on here saying WHATS your BEEF with Liverpool.

Well here it goes, this goes back years....

From the arrogance of Bill Shankly trying to sound like a poormans Mohammed Ali act, and Emlyn Hughes singing 'Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic' to their gobby fans who think they can sign anyone and can win EVERYTHING.

Well that in part was true, mainly thru the 70's 80's period...However that was all yesteryear and in the past 20 odd years apart from one European cup they've hardly won anything worthy of note. But they still bang on about being 'DA BEST TEAM IN DE WERLD' And more recently 'We're GONNA win the league' all this before the fat lady sings. So, why so much outlandish confidence and why no precaution? Keeping quite with your fingers crossed before the final whistle blows, so if all goes t1ts up youre not gonna look like total D1CKS.

And their holy than thou  'it ain't our fault guv' act  on recent scandals such as the Suarez affair.  Why didnt they just own up and look humble for a change instead of printing those t-shirts.

Plus don't get me started with the biased sycophantic media such as Five Live, the Daily Mail and the BBC, who never misses an opportunity to suckup to the redshine.

....So all this grief from me , and probably from others is all for Liverpools just desserts.....

So there you go.... That's why I cant stand them with a passion.

I personally never thought we were gonna win the league at any point during the season. But how could you predict Gerrard slipping? Liverpool chucked that away not the fans.

The WGWTL started as an ironic chant around Feb if I remember right. Just kept on being sung, and the wins kept coming. Before we knew it, we were in with a real shout.

Its odd how people forget that it was Gerrard miscontrolling the ball that allowed Demba Ba in, the slip was whilst trying to recover it having given it away.

Some fans have even gone to the trouble of having banners printed Devil

Fair enough mate. Ferguson did get rid of a lot of players but only if he thought it would benefit United and the only one that stands out that he got wrong was Stam.

The list includes Whiteside, McGrath, Ince, Kanchelskis, Stam, Beckham, Van Nistelrooy, Keane etc etc.

He dropped Jim Leighton for the FA Cup replay and Jim and his wife haven't spoken to Ferguson since.

He did the same to Robson after he'd got us through a semi final. Later on he did it to Bruce.

Can't say Ferguson didn't make the togh decisions. Keeping Cantona was as big a call as any decision.

Why I hate Liverpool :-

Last match of the 1976 season, Wolves v Liverpool. We need to win to have a chance of avoiding relegation, they need to win to pip QPR and win the league.

Full house at Molineux with tens of thousands of scouse coming down, they packed out the old South Bank, and that was a very big 'end'.
Anyway, the inevitable happened, they won and we got relegated.
After the match I was walking home on my own, I'd got split up from my mates. I was only 12 years old and was very upset, almost in tears. I couldn't believe it... The Wolves, relegated?
As I walked past a group of much older Liverpool fans, a couple of them spat on me. Further on down the road the same happened again with  a different lot of scousers.

It happened at least once more as I walked along. These weren't kids, they were adults gobbing on a 12 year old kid walking home on his own.

A bus came along so I got on it, to get away from all these Liverpool fans. As the bus passed by a boozer full of Liverpool fans, a load of them started smashing bottles and glasses into the bus windows. It was terrifying...

How much more did they want to rub our noses in it? They'd just won the league... and we'd just got relegated.

Maybe I was just unlucky and in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I do understand that in those days all clubs had hooligans. But this is my personal reason for hating Liverpool FC.

p.s.

Since then I've got used to The Wolves getting relegated  ExcitedHappy

Hooliganism was well established in English Soccer in the 70's and 80's..

TBB trying to off load it on Liverpool Fans now 30 years later is just sad, very sad, very very sad for a bitter Utd fan.

Liverpool were well used to to travelling around and competing in Europe long before Heysel.
They were winning in Europe since the 1976 Uefa cup final and then the famous 77,78,81 and 84 European Cup wins, all without any crowd trouble. Zero. Heysel was 1985 nine years later.

Any english hooliganism at ths time was mostly at International level ( England games ).

Why were Chelsea, Millwall, Luton even Newcastle 'firms' at a Liverpool Game in Heysel Belgium ?

I shouldn't rise to this but here goes.

Ticketlessness had nothing to do with Hillsborough, as all football fans should know irregardless of the colour of their scarf. Furthermore, if you think there has been a big match anywhere where demand has outstripped supply that hasn't had chancers turning up without tickets trying to get in your are deluded. So in my book that is not a legitimate reason to hate Liverpool or their fans.

Having said that, Liverpool fans are amongst the most deluded, pie-eyed and paranoid fans ever. Their defence of Suarez was both laughable and hypocritical. And I hate the club itself because they were the Steve Davis or Tiger Woods of my era. Growing up I was desperate for someone, anyone to beat them. I hate Man Utd for the same reason now.

As an ex match going supporter of Manchester United i can concur that Scousers from both sides of Stanley Park can be a particularly nasty bunch. That's where the propaganda ends for me though. I'd wager all football clubs are riddled with bigoted tw'ts in the stands & the boardroom, subsequently the  more situations these characters are placed in the greater the opportunity for carnage.   Apart from personally loving playing the game as a child, the overwhelming attraction of football for me was the tribalism.  To this day even from my armchair/barstool the only fixture that still provides a spark is the Mickey Mousers, it's one indoctrination from my childhood i'm reluctant to let go. Long live LFC and all the despicable loons that sail in her Mischief
