Nigh on 100k bet @ 1.04 and below on a team who had never scored. Some of these goalspotters and goal update sites are nothing but incompetent crooks.

will they void?

well, they scored a perfectly good goal and you saw them celebrating for ages with a number of replays.  Then they show them shaking hands.  I have no idea why the goal was disallowed.

They won't void. Happens so often - one that killed me last year, the goal was chalked off on the likes of futbol24 about 30 minutes after the final whistle; the market had to be resettled. This one again was corrected on futbol24 after the final whistle. Glad I didn't get caught by this one, but the incompetence makes some trading impossible but you can't put any money into any market with any confidence unless you can see what's going on. The biggest losers are the bots, who form the market after any goal.

Shows you that they're so anxious to update the scores instantly, that they forget about accuracy. Forget, pah, accuracy goes out of the window.

When did you know it wasn't a goal? Did you lay all of the £80k?!
Report Darlo Bantam December 11, 2014 7:09 PM GMT
I didn't even open the market. I just had futbol24 open and heard/saw it chalked off after the final whistle so opened the market to inspect the damage. I've been on both sides of these mistakes. It's scandalous how frequent they make them.
Report maltese falcon December 11, 2014 7:11 PM GMT
as i say, there was no information watching live that indicated the goal hadn't been given.  It was a shot from the edge of the box that deflected off a defender and went in.  Therefore offside wasn't an option.
Report andyc2000 December 11, 2014 7:11 PM GMT
People watching must have been totally unaware that it wasn't given for that amount of money to be traded, least someone wasn't just printing £80k for free, just a lucky win for many it seems as no one viewing has said they knew it wasn't a goal.
Report Raluca December 11, 2014 7:14 PM GMT
I was always wondering if they have a bot that put the score on their website after the ball passes the line because last week i saw a game where the referee was with the hand up, the player saw that but put the ball into the net just for the beauty of it, so if you are a human being watching the game not in a million years you can judge that it was a good goal, but on f24 and other websites, for some seconds, it was a good goal.

Sometimes people are printing money for free. You can see half the market knows that the information is incorrect and lay to their heart's content. Because I didn't open the market, I can't say what happened on this occasion.

Some of them probably just greened up, on the other side that 80k is only 40k, but still a big chunk

The worst error like that for me, was England in Montenegro, when Rooney hit the side netting, and futbol24 gave the goal. It wasn't even close to being a goal. And being televised you could see how tragic their error was.

Watched the goal on flashscore, i think the 1.03 backers are justified.
No problem with the goal there, probably reff on drugs
Report Westender December 11, 2014 11:21 PM GMT
I have spotted numerous cases of incorrect goals to the  wrong team, delays reported goals scored and goals disallowed after long periods.

The frequency of errors clearly demonstrates that this is is not incompetence and more likely to be the work of organised criminals as follows:

1. Gangsters threatening the scouts or families of scouts at the matches to ensure errors are reported.
2. Paying higher wages to the Scouts to report 'errors'.
3. Criminals employing staff to operate as scouts.

Always appears to happen more in East European countries.
Report CJ70 December 11, 2014 11:47 PM GMT
Dodgy ref giving Inter the benefit of the doubt. Always happens with perceived smaller clubs in Europe.

They must have been wishing for a St Etienne win as neither Dnipro or Qarabag can play a home game at their real homes.
Report Darlo Bantam December 12, 2014 12:05 AM GMT
Sounds cynical Westender, but I have inclination to agree with you. Certainly, some of the errors, appear to be more than likely purposefully done for improper gain.
