no. Mourinho's negative tactics won't get them through every match.

**** me must be the most stupid post i seen on here
By:
Not impossibility but can't see it I expect they will lose about five
By:
they have to go to sunderland ,stoke , west ham and hull...
By:
I think I remember seeing 125/1 being on offer at the start of the season.
By:
Yes they can do it but it's unlikely, just as Arsenal's achievement was. It requires a combination of a good side and statistical variance, just like Arsenal had.

get the market up please betfair
theres money to be made hear ! |

best price now is 16/1 at hills. I anticipated this after the first couple of games and got on at 25s and 33s in various high street shops. I know the prices are not good but they will get shorter the longer their run goes on, and I don't see that run ending anytime soon.
Redundant Punter if Chelsea lose 5 games this season i'll walk into town on a Saturday night and staple my b0110x to the forehead of the first policeman I see. |
By:
they'll end up losing at home to Burnley or similar
By:
I predict their first loss will be Sunderland Away on November 29th.

The zzzzzzzzzzzway they play they can def go unbeaten in this prem as most teams seem to genuinely want to attack so 'defend, defend, defend score on counter' suits that. Mind you winning by 1 goal when you should be winning by 2,3 or 4 can bite you on the harris at some point - just as well they will be 'resting' in the Ch league according to some fans already!
By:
they have a chance to go through the season undefeated if they can get sunday's ref for every game.
once they knew city players were getting penalised for every tackle they went into full dive mode. city looked much the better team on sunday and I wouldn't be surprised to see city beat them at the bridge. |
By:
its unusual for citeh to be out dived, nasri is a most under rated diver
almost hidden amongst the premier leagues top fallers |
By:
NO NO NO NO
By:
Absolutely no chance.
Liverpool will beat them for a start. |
By:
If Costa picks up a knock what are they going to do, play old man Drogba.
By:
Costa won't have to pick up a knock, he'll be picking up a suspension 1.01

Thread to top.
Was 125/1 at the start, 50/1 when mentioned a few weeks back, odds now vary between around 7/1 (b365) and 14/1 (lads). |
By:
Yes, you can probably sense the bias, but even if they do go unbeaten, I do hope people don't consider them equals to our 04 team. AF far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison.
By:
They'll probably stay unbeaten at home, but pick up around 3 defeats on the road at places like Soton, West Ham and West Brom (their last away game of the season where they may well have had the title long sewn up)

Keown reckons this Chelsea could be the best the Premier league has seen.
I am not sure if they are as good as Mourinho's first title record points team? |
By:
It is very good. But it is an efficient team that deosn't really win style awards. Grabs goals and closes up.
Compare their style of play to the sheer beautiful football of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Reyes, Vieira, the midfield solidarity of Edu and Silva and the defensive solidarity and attacking play of Lehman, Campbell, Toure and Lauren and Cole on the wings, i just think it was much more fun to watch than the current Chelsea side. Neutrals used to make sure they tuned in just to see Arsenal play football. |
By:
The lack of clean sheets or shutouts is a big red flag. One day their lack of defensive ruthlessness will be punished. So for me they will not remain unbeaten.
By:
NO Liverpool will beat them on Saturday with a hatrick from Elvis..............
By:
some of the penalty decisions chelsea get from refs are a bit dodgy though . . .
By:
i couldn't have this chelsea side anywhere near the united treble side, the wenger early 2000s side or even mourinho first time around
the current premier league is absolutely dreadful |
By:
can surly but champs lge will take its tole

This current Chelsea side is probably 2 years from its peak. |

Problem with that Hunter is that I don't know if I could trust Jose to be around until that time. He already looks bored and restless.

KR, iirc didn't lose a game in any competition for something like 30 games yp to the end of that season
they also needed 2 goals pretty much in injury time to beat liverpool from 1 nil down in the cup. sure they could have lost to a very good arsenal side but don't forget they played an hour with 10 men in that semi final replay as well. they had an amazing never say die quality. i'd have that treble as a far greater achievement than going through the league season unbeaten. you couldn't afford to have an off day in any number of big games as for only getting 79 points the league was much more competitive in the 90s. you didn't need the thick end of 90 points to win it like you do now |

Has said he will stay as long as the club want him and will sign an extension of contract as soon as asked too. |
