Hi Dragon - looking ahead to next weekend and acknowledging forming a betting angle on your own team is fraught with danger, Colchester look a decent price at Crewe. I got on yesterday at 7/4 with Bet653 and they are as low as 5/4 in places: Betfred remain biggest at 13/8.
Barring the 5 minute horror show against Sheffield United recently, Colchester would of had 4 consecutive clean sheets under their new manager. Two blanks in front of goal don't tell the full story as chances are being created with Freddie Sears seemingly having his best season in front of goal (I'm on at 100/1 top goalscorer as stated on another of your threads) and he and Sanchez Watt can pose a decent threat at this level. Crewe seem in disarray at present and team news permitting I believe Colchester rate a decent bet... |

hi dragon. can I suggest an interest in the Scottish league cup tonight for you to consider. Aberdeen won this cup last season and take it very seriously. Livingston are a poor bunch and Aberdeen should win easily . put in a back of unquoted scoreline at 5 and hope it gets matched. good luck m8 and everyone on this thread.

Can't put you off the Colchester bet at Crewe, we look a sorry lot at the moment. We sold all our leaders and we haven't replaced them. Having said that, it appears that a lot of players were suffering from a virus that went round the club last weekend, which may explain the multitude of non-performances during the MK Dons drubbing. Not sure I'd be mad keen to take the 7/4 though, it doesn't look a huge price.

Didn't know you were a Crewe fan mate... paid my one and only visit to your place a couple of years back when we through away a 2 goal half-time lead...
Wouldn't have gone in any lower than the 7/4 to be fair (best price now 31/20 with Lads)... the blue on Oddschecker may be a result of the virus still affecting the squad... |

Hi Guys and gals,
Average start last weekend with one win and one loss so hoping for better things this weekend. My system has given me no home selections for the weekend and 6 teams away that are worth further investigation . After due stuying I have 2 away teams that are worthy of being backed and on that you might take a chance on . Funnily enough all 3 selections are in the CONFERENCE PREMIERSHIP, The first is BRISTOL ROVERS at 11/10 to beat Southport. This price sticks out with SLYBET as some bookies are going 8/11 on . So if you fancy it and I do i would take the price. The two teams are going in different directions and Rovers seem to have now settled down after an iffy start to the Conference. Rovers have won 5 out of 6 games and lie 2nd in the form table and 7th in the league. They are on a run of four straight wins and have had good results against teams that are doing much better than Southport( Halifax, Wrexham and Woking to name 3). They have scored 10 in the last 4 games and only conceded 3. The only fly in the ointment as far as I can see is that their away form is not great. However they are playing Southport who are 20th in the league having lost 5 out of 6 games and are in free fall. They have only scored 1 goal in the last 6 and have concede 11 giving them 3 pts out of a possible 18. Away win at 11/10 is the call. Torquay gave us a win last week and I shall be backing them again at 4/6 (Various Bookies) to beat bottom of the table Telford . Again it is no great price but should be a winner. Torquay are 2nd in the league and top of the form table having won 6 on the bounce. They have to be serious title contenders(9/1) having been relegated last year and should beat a woeful Telford who have not won a game all season (lost 8 drawn 3)and are bottom of both the form and league table. They have concede a massive 20 goals in 6 games and Torquay should just be too good for them. These are my two main tips and I will be backing both singly and in a double. The other team on my radar is MACCLESFIELD at 21/10 to beat an out of form Lincoln. Lincoln have lost 5 out of 6 and are 3rd to bottom of the form league. They have had some tough fixtures of late but Macc maybe worth a small investment. The other 3 away teams that came up were NORWICH (8/11), SWINDON (17/10- looks good)and YEOVIL (9/5). I will have a daft acca on them !! Anyway BRISTOL ROVERS and TORQUAY are the main bets so good look if you give any of the selections ago. As always selections made before team news and comments and views gratefully received. Good luck to all. |

sorry should have said double pays 5/2

Good luck Dragon.
Bit early yet for me to be going in, but I'm liking the look of two Premiership matches so far, both with Ladbrokes. Arsenal at 5/6 to beat Spurs - I think the bookmakers have yet to cotton on to quite how bad this Spurs squad is. And Swansea to win at Sunderland at 7/4, again those prices look the wrong way round to me. |
|
By:
hi jed,
sometimes it pays to get in early as the prices contracts but i know what you mean. I sometimes have to post early as its the only chance i get due to work commitments. I agree with both your selections though will bonny be out for Swansea. I've looked at home matches and 3 look overpriced in div 2 Wycombe, Burton and Southend Good luck m8 |
|
By:
hi dragon. playing up a bit of last nights winnings with some bets tonight. its an acca on over 2.5 goals in 5 games involving c.palace, spurs, celtic, Dundee and Barcelona. pays around 10-1 depending who you bet with. gl m8.
