I got a rebate last week and was told it was something to do with an asian handicap promo.
I have since asked 3 times what the promotion was but I have had no replies and cant find anything about it.

Can anyone help?

they still charge 0.75% on single line ah which are only available on english premier league games. you get charged the normal amount and they credit the difference the next day.

This is the 0.75% commission promotion on asian handicap and total goals markets. Unfortunately bf don't want people to know about it!
Report YOMOMMA September 9, 2014 2:56 PM BST
bingo bongo that was last season. i think the main ah page and total goals is 5% again.
Report bingo bongo September 9, 2014 3:01 PM BST
Total goals is definitely still 0.75%, I've gotten rebates from these this season, I assumed AH is the same.

I didn't know that, I don't bet on the total goals. The daily goals was 0.75% last season but it's back to 5% now.

what's the point of a promo if they don't promote it!!
Report YOMOMMA September 9, 2014 3:08 PM BST
They are really useless. I asked them if it would be 0.75% for ah's during the world cup and got conflicting answers.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if its an oversight that the promotion is still running, such is the poor communication by betfair.

This is the most recent response I received on this matter from Betfair:

The 0.75% rate applies to Asian Handicap, Total Goals and Daily Goals markets.

This is all now done as a rebate as the market base rate has reverted back to 5%.

Should there be any change to which markets are on offer, or if the trial is going to be concluded, we will contact customers to inform the

Betfair's Pricing Team via the Betfair Helpdesk.

I was granted permission to post the Pricing Team's response. I also sought but didn't receive permission to post the subsequent direct mail exchange I had with the Helpdesk agent.

In that exchange I was assured that the 0.75% rate applies to the main 'Asian Handicap' soccer markets (not only the single AH line markets that all seem to state 0.75%).

I have requested that the Pricing Team submit an announcement to the forum confirming the rate stated above. In the absence of any such announcement, I would recommend that anybody wishing to bet in these markets first seeks independent confirmation of the base rate from Betfair.

When I asked about this a few weeks ago, they told me that it definitely wasn't going to be 0.75% this season, and if this changed they'd post on forum. Sensible way of operating as usual.

Latest rebate received today. If anyone was still wondering.

A welcome, if long overdue, announcement confirming the extension of the 0.75% Asian Handicap rate has been made in the Service forum.

I had a lengthy correspondence with them over the weekend about this. The first point of contact had no idea what was going on, but their position was confirmed on Monday. The pricing team apparently don't work weekends. The Premium Helpdesk promised they would publicise it, glad that they have but a sticky on the football forum would surely be helpful?

Announcement removed within 48 hours. I give up.
Report YOMOMMA September 20, 2014 12:23 PM BST
That announcement said 0.75% for daily goals but has been taken down so I'm not sure if it is still active. I asked on live chat and they are clueless. First thing they asked me was if it was for the exchange. Crazy Then they said it was 5%. Useless mofos. They can't even do simple things properly.

Posting the new Service forum announcement in this thread in case that announcement is deleted prior to the end of the offer:

Betfair is pleased to announce that we have extended the offer of a fixed 0.75% commission rate for all Asian Handicap bets placed on the Exchange. This is across all fixtures both domestically and internationally where we offer Asian Handicap markets.

The reduction will take the form of a daily rebate, between an account’s standard commission rate and 0.75%, applied the day after the market settles. The markets included in the offer are; Asian Handicap, Total Goals and Daily Goals.

This is effective now and will run until further notice.

They really should have a sticky at the top of the football forum. It seems that for some reason they really don't want people to know about this.

Did anybody get their rebates for fixtures on 12 October and 14 October? I never got mine.
