Had a look at the footie for the weekend and some interesting betting prospects are around.
There are two i like in particular which look good value bets .
The first is WIMBLEDON to beat Hartlepool at Even money (BV). Wimbledon have made good start to the season and are unbeaten with excellent away wins at both Southend and Luton. They drew their other game 2-2 with shrewsbury. All of these 3 matches are tough games against fancied teams so the start is excellent.
Hartlepool on the other hand have lost their first matches to Shrewsbury , Cheltenham and Southend conceding 7 and scoring just 1. Even money looks overpriced in my book and i have had a good bet on it.
The other game I like is LINCOLN to beat Braintree at 20/19.
Lincoln have made a solid start to the season with 2 away wins at Barnet and Altrincham and a home draw with Kidderminster. Braintree have lost 2 out of 3 with their only points coming from a good home win against a poor Dover team. Their losses were against Chester and Macclesfield who are likely to struggle this year although they have made reasonable starts. LIncoln are avaialble at 21/20 with SLYBET. Smaller bet for me on this one and I will have a double on both teams also.
Could be a bit early in the season to be drawing any solid conclusions for my taste, but I might have a go on two confrence teams.
TORQUAY play away at Dartford. Dartford finished 22ns last season and there isn't much to suggest that they'll have a much better time this time round. Torquays only away game so far has been a loss, but that's been to a strong Gateshead team who narrowly missed out on promotion last year. At 11/10 I don't see Dartford posing much threat.
I backed WREXHAM on the first day of the season and they duly did the business. They play away to Alfreton who have had a hard start to the season, losing all 3 and conceding 7. 23/20 seems a tad generous based on what we've seen so far - though thats admittedly a small amount of action.
For some additional interest I'm going to be backing Carlisles on-loan striker JACK MARRIOT to score first at 7/1 against Southend. After a shocker of a performance losing 3-1 to Wycombe we pretty much dominated against Cheltenham midweek and were extremely unlucky to not grab the win. Marriot was a constant threat and should've had opened the scoring when 1 on 1 with the keeper. We're still a player or two short of a consistent squad imo but if we play like Cheltenham we've got a strong chance on saturday and I'll be backing Marriot to score first for the next few games.

I'm an Ipswich fan and don't enjoy posting this but the following bet is worth a dabble:
Norwich -1 handicap 4/1
McCarthy will line up with a defensive side as he always done. He has just loaned out our only creative midfielder. I expect Norwich to grind us down and eventually get the breakthrough. They'll then double up on the break.
I wish I could place a bet on Mings to be sent off.
FWIW I hope i'm wrong and we fecking smash the arrogant ****s.
