one of very few commentators, maybe the only one, that ever comes out with a witty comment and not frightened to offend. voice makes me drowsy, but no worse than the rest
By:
Hes very sarcastic tho, but he can be funny at times
By:
Its when he makes things up ...that is what annoys me.
He has unneeded personal jibes against players. He starts attacking them personally to discredit them on a particular play etc |
By:
he is not actually commentating on the play...he mainly just tells everyone when a sub is warming up etc
By:
Really don't like his style. He is so negative , half of his comments is him trying to be funny. His "jokes" are almost always at the expense of a player.
On the occasions where he strings more than 10 words together & talks about the game he is reasonably good. |
By:
Someone needs to keep the overated w@nkers on their toes
By:
I understand what you about his style, but I don't mind him. He's preferable to the ever increasing co-commentators who spout endless tactical bullsh*t all match. Collymore being the worst at this,
By:
hes a miserable old goat
By:
don't worry as all the remarks about players diving will disappear once the epl comes back round.
once we get away from 2 foreign teams playing then we'll be back to "clear penalty" and "definite contact" and the blatant diving will be ignored again. |
By:
Yeah cos no one is ever accused of diving in the Premier League are they.
By:
awful commentator
dont know why he loved usa either did he have them in the free sweep |
By:
i like it
high lights what awful decisions professionals make |
By:
By:
linesman has been consistantly right on the replays and these two clowns on commentary wrong
By:
great player , but a negative tit on the tv
By:
Constantly trying to be witty with his well used ad libs. Gets on well with Alan Green, which tells you what a knob he must be.
By:
drains the life outta you listening to him
By:
hes like a grumpy old man hahahahaha
By:
apparently in "hot water" over a sexist remark made during the argentina v switzerland game, said 1 of the switzerland players should"ware a skirt".
very strange |
By:
He has got a very high opinion of him self. I hate it when he just answers a long winded question from his partner with ‘Yeah.....‘ or 'Nah....‘
By:
just another one on the bbc gravy train. they all need a kick up the backside.
By:
His constant efforts to be funny are pretty pathetic.
By:
he was manager at preston...sacked enuf said so called pundit gravy train merchant
By:
agreed
By:
At least he mentioned the match. Jonathan Pearce appeared to be doing his best to mention anything other than the football that was in front of him. A complete pompous ****.
By:
alan shearer sounds as if he would make a good manager...........as he ever tried
![]() ![]() |
By:
Glenn Hoddle is another one .... Has he ever tried management?
By:
he did, when newcastle where allready down,as a payer he broke all goalscoring records at blackburn , and newcastle, beet milburns record, leave him be he is god
By:
Pearce and Lawrenson
Intolerable |
By:
Shearer god ?
Another fat cat who won **** all |
By:
Shearer won prem league
By:
just watched motd and lawrenson constantly talking over tim vickery, their most insightful pundit. not only is his contribution awful, he takes away from the good ones too!
By:
well past his sell by date
By:
You have to appreciate his sense of humour,
not always apparent. |
By:
lawrenson another failed manager so called expert pundit, er sacked as boss of preston!
ps shearer is god, he won the premiership for blackburn when at his peak, he went on to newcastle and break their all time goal scoring record previously held by milburn. |
By:
Alistair McGowan used to do that impression of him in 'could n't care less' mode.
Lawro is now exactly like the impression |
By:
Sums him up
