Don't worry Berto rest assured I've learnt that the hard way. A heavy favourite winning in 90 minutes is just a completely blacklisted bet for me. Scenario's where the favourite is better off taking things to extra time and putting the squeeze on their knackered opposition, rather than going for it in the last 10 minutes of normal time, crop up very, very often. If the heavy favourites are worth piling into then they're worth piling into to qualify. The favourite is on course to qualify from all 8 matches in the last 16 (and actually I cashed out/swerved a bet on that so hopefully the yanks cause an upset tomorrow) |

Maybe it's just Algerian tiredness but Germany have looked better balanced with Khedira in midfield and Lahm at right back.

tbf its not that often big favs dont win in normal time, but win in extra time. i spent years backing favourites to win outright and virtually none of em went to extra time. just getting worse odds for not much difference. its only the ones where it happens that stick in your mind. every other match is only 90 minutes anyway. that said i do usually back outright anyway, but this one i didnt. sods law.

Algeria need to pump some balls into the box and push another up ,no point trying to run and they cant pass their way out from the back or break or get a pass in up front ,extra man up front and pump the balls in imo ,route one time
