I couldn't. I've just got this absolutely ridiculous and horrible feeling Greece could turn back the clock 10 years and bore the entire world to tournament victory.

Costa Rica will do to Greece what Colombia did to Uruguay.
2-0 in 90 mts easy as you like |

I loved that last time.
They looked dangerous v the Ivory Coast, who are a better team than Costa Rica. I just cant see CR breaking them down, so far this competition the Costa Ricans have been able to go on the back foot and hit on the break. |

Greece to win for me.

Do you really believe Ivory Coast would comfortably beat Italy and Uruguay the way Costa Rica did? I cant see it myself.

Do you really believe Ivory Coast would comfortably beat Italy and Uruguay the way Costa Rica did? I cant see it myself. i guess when doing these comparisons, its only relative to how each of us rate those achievements. for me they havent faced a team who want to beat them yet, who wont be taking them lightly. time will tell but i think ill be taking the pre-off price of the greeks |

I think Costa Rica are a lot better than most people think. They took Italy and Uruguay apart - it was no fluke.
Ivory Coast like Argentina have great a team on paper but both sides rarely live up to their so called superiority. Maybe we have a tendency to overrate players we know and especially ones from the big football nations and underrate players from smaller nations. That's worth bearing in mind when betting. England were odds on to beat Costa Rica, which is basically insane. |

Costa Rica are no mugs.
Greece are mugs, but they are well-organised mugs. Struggling to see a bet here. |

Agree Highlander.
Re overating players we know about it's especially prevalent with players who play in England it always reminds me of the build up to the Germany v England game at 2010 World Cup the pundits on the BBC saying England should win on paper as how many of the Germany team would get in the England team, 2 or 3 at a push they said. It was based on nothing more than they knew more about the English players. Germany 01 Neuer 03 Friedrich Yellow card 16 Lahm Captain 17 Mertesacker 20 Boateng 06 Khedira 07 Schweinsteiger 08 Ozil (Kiessling, 83) 10 Podolski 11 Klose (Gomez, 72) 13 Muller (Trochowski, 72) England 01 James 02 G Johnson Yellow card (Wright-Phillips, 87) 03 A Cole 06 Terry 15 Upson 04 Gerrard Captain 08 Lampard 14 Barry 16 Milner (J Cole, 63) 10 Rooney 19 Defoe (Heskey, 71) Just because Ivory Coast have a few players in the EPL doesn't mean they are better players than the Costa Ricans. |

By:
Shrewd_dude, I remember that game. I think it was Alan Shearer who said Germany had no chance, embarrassingly he thought England would thrash them. And you're right at that time no one knew that German side - they are all household names now.

Fancy Costa Rica here, all action style free flowing footie like the Columbians to beat the Greeks.
Done CR win/draw in doubles with Dutch win/draw very confident of this. |
|
By:
good luck with that.
im on mexico/draw and greece/draw |

By:
Laying CR here.

Can't see any bet so just for an interest I'll copy the Zonal Marking website guy in the Racing Post and throw a few quid at Oscar Duarte first and anytime scorer. He scored against Uruguay and is their main target for set pieces apparently.
