I think the two questions are:
1) Would this bunch of players have done any better under a different manager? Brendan perhaps, but of course Suarez played for the opposition. 2). Would the manager have done any better with a better bunch of players? France or Germany, say? |

But he'd have got peters for being too dull. Terry and Cole would have been in the back four mind instead of them two Everton lads so that would have been a good start. Just needed to find a Right Back. |
