If Italy won 2-1 here and beat Uruguay the Costa Ricans would have a goal difference of +1 Englands is -2 so England would need to win by 4 against Costa Rica

i don't disagree darlo about the class
but they play at a fast pace in the premier league and for england look like snails EVERY tournament, closing not good enough and passing much slower than for clubs its strange! |
|
By:
Costa Rica look decent enough to beat England 2-0 ,not that England will be bothered anyway now
|
|
By:
hopefully Uruguay stuff the Italians as well now
|
|
By:
shirley a fix. lots of englanders pinning their last hopes on cash on an italy win. clearly they aren't that bothered to win today.

England are out. In the last game play the players in the 23 man squad who didn't get a game yet.

maybe England will throw it just to get Italy out

you need a TEAM who believes in each other ,no pressure and high work rate ,just add football and bobs your uncle .Although if you look at costa results and ratings they have been underrated again .
will give the youngsters a stretch against England |

Italy might as well defend now and keep it at 1-0. They will be ahead of Uruguay on gd and only need a draw v uruguay in final match. If they get an equalizer and it ends 1-1, will be exactly the same - ie in both cases if uruguay beat italy then italy are out .... therefore might as well play it out for single goal defeat....
